hello everyone
I am leaving korea Tomorrow. This forum helped me alot to earn the knowledge for the cosmetic surgery. I hope my short review will give you a little hint to the options and real recovery process of the eyelid surgery.
I underwent non-incisional double eyelid surgery in South Korea. My mom had her anti-aging surgeries done at DA clinic last year with Dr. Lee. She had severe sagging skin on her eyelids and under her eyes that needed to be addressed surgically. I was able to give her the opportunity to enhance them. She is quite satisfied with the results now; she looks younger and her eyes open more easily than before.
I had always considered getting my eyes done at least once in my life but never found the right timing due to work constraints. This time, we came back to Korea for a vacation with my mom to have her one-year post-operation check-up with the doctor, and we planned to have a consultation for my eyelids. I was really nervous about undergoing cosmetic surgery but my curiosity led me to at least hear the possible options from the specialists.
I told my doctor that I wasn't very sure if eyelid surgery would look good on me and that I might not like it in the future. He recommended non-incisional eyelid surgery and epi/upper canthoplasty to make the eye corner wider and refreshing look if I aimed for a natural, light crease. Dr said My skin is not very thick or puffy and good enough to go for a non incisional way. I was super happy when he said that. Basically, the surgery is done using non-incisional thread work so the downtime is relatively shorter, which sounded like a perfect option for me as I had to go back to work in one week.
The surgery itself didn't even take an hour. It felt like it was done in 30 minutes. I was conscious throughout the procedure and the doctor tried to communicate with me during the surgery to reassure me about the shape and thickness of the crease. I had only a little swelling and no bruises at all very surprisingly. I am very glad the eyelid suits on me and got exactly what I wanted within this short period, my face is improved and soft in a nice way.
I took some photos to document my healing process day by day. I'll be sharing some with you all.
