I'm right on board with those who are just saying no way. I had a hard enough time justifying my zoe clutch at $258, and I've at least used that several times already and feel it's a classic- no way I'd evern spend $500 on a straw clutch that could only be worn 1-2 seasons and seems a bit more trendy.

got it on Valentine's Day

so i had a thought, i think Coach might be interested in launching an "upscale" line...but are testing the waters with pieces like this to see if theres a maket out there willing to pay that much for coach pieces....

im actually surprised the straw totes are only 258 i have bags in the 298 range that aren't as fancy...the weaving on the bags etc is beautiful...and you wouldn't believe how sturdy it is...i doubt the straw will get damaged if i care for it properly...however i'm not sure how well an "upscale" coach line will do because in the end its still coach...and i know for my generation...and people older than me...we will still consider coach to be fashionable,trendy, and indeed fabulous quality...yet we love it for its moderate prices, and still look at LV,Chanel,Gucci as the more "upscale" brands...whether or not they're trying to break into a different market...its still a great brand and I'll remain a fan...unless they catch the dooney bug and make a handbag that looks like a hot dog haha

WOW!!! That is alot for a clutch. Maybe its because of the coins on it. but still its not worth that much, but its pretty.

I love this one. It looks nice enough to go to classy events with but within budget (at least mine anyways).
