Sale at H BH - what to expect?

How come I could have sworn I was told I can only buy 2 last friday? I would have loved to have that blue in phw as well!

The sign said 2, but I guess since it's the last day they said 3. Everyone was being told 3 for clic h.

My haul from today. I felt in general this years merchandise was a better than the one from a few years ago!! Also a lady at the register told me NY will have public sale sometime in Oct/Nov this year.

First of all, Thanks to all for posting your finds and Intel! I thought it was a great sale, especially for my first. I didn't go back yesterday - I was good after all. But the day before, I couldn't resist the jewel tones on this little goodie:

Funny you should ask, I asked yesterday, but I guess it wasn't a pertinent question to warrant a response. Not even, "Don't know!" Anyway, I called a store and was told the sales are only only in BH and NY. Hope this helps as I definitely didn't want your question to go ignored.

When I went I was talking to the clerk at the register and she says they have it every year in New York (I was complaining that the sales in LA are not that frequent ) - in fact she was from there- they flew out a bunch of SAs from there just for this sale! I was amazed they did this, bc there were clearly other sales people from an outside company too at this sale

I was really surprised at how knowledgable the scarf salespeople were, even though I knew they were temporary help. Jewelry SAs were not quite as knowledgeable, though they did they best to serve the insatiable crowd.

Lucky!!!! Hopefully they have another one next year, i'll go everyday![emoji12]

You are correct! They did tell us 2 was the limit! Obviously they wanted to sell more by day 3 [emoji5]

The workers were actually from Hermès Corporate in NY- we thought the same thing that they we're surprisingly knowledgeable! The BH store told us that.

I really hope that if/when there is another sale that it's announced early, as I don't live in either state/city, but I would love to plan a trip with advanced notice (no sense on spending $500 on a plane ticket and near the same for a hotel, to spend $1000). Perhaps the interest and turn out surpass what they expect and decided to go back to having sales at more stores.

I'm pretty sure your SA is wrong. I've never seen a sale announcement on the website.

I don't know. I don't work for the company or at the stores. A member asked a question that I had asked but didn't get an answer to. So instead of waiting for someone to reply I called a store. I shared that I called the store and what I was told. I take the info given to me as that. Info. Not here to debate or authenticated what the sales person told me. As shoppers we all know that it's not uncommon to hear different things. Especially when info comes from multiple people, multiple stores and from of multiple states. If the company indeed doesn't announce sales on the website then that's okay. I didn't plan on leaving a tab open to check every hour on the hour.

And so neither of you have to wonder, my reply is terribly filled with angst and frustration at what comes off as need to call someone out for being wrong. I'm sure I'll be wrong and have jumped to conclusions (not really waiting for replies though as this is intended to be my one and only which is why I multi-quoted) but it sure doesn't feel that way! Katstoy, I can appreciate your inquiry, however it was AFTERWARDS. Just so you both know, it is okay to inquire before being so abrupt to correct or challenge someone. I would have been more than happy to explain that I don't have a SA and that my call was random. Good thing I don't care enough about whether there's a website announcement or not!
