Why do some customer's have to screw it up for the honest paying customers!? I called and asked if this was a Saks or Capital one who made the decision and was told it was Saks, I cancelled my NM for this very reason. Hopefully they change it back soon.
That's similar to NM's no interest plan, total balance is divided equally by monthly payments. I guess Saks had customer payment issues.

I just heard about this too. So bummed. Saks will definitely lose sales. I made so many purchases in 12 month MPA with very little minimum payments some months. But I always paid in full by my yearly deadline. I will not be using my Saks MPA anymore. Do you really think they'd change it back?

When that canadian company bought saks a couple of years ago they stopped offering 12 month mpa so often and now they have it all the time again so hopefully it will eventually come back

So upset with the Saks mpa. I had it for years and always loved the low minimum payments (1% of the total balance) always payed it off within the 12 months but it was nice to have the flexibility of the low payments when I was a little tight. Purchased a Chanel Jacket for $6000 two weeks ago and received my statement and the minimum was so high $500, i called and they informed me that on Feb 1 they changed to equal monthly payments and no longer will they do the 1% minimum. This sucks, returning the jacket and my dh is buying it in Paris for me next week. I am really upset

Wow!! didn't Saks just run a 12 month MPA promo!??

Prior purchases are fine. Anything after Feb 1 is with the crappy new payment structure.

Wow! Thanks for letting me know, I had no idea they had switched over to this. If I recall correctly, at one time in the past year or so, they were running both programs and clients had a choice which style MPA structure to use.
