Saks Fifth Avenue has not processed my order

I pre-ordered an item in early June. It was supposed to ship in early July and I receive it shortly after July 4th. Then received an email saying I’ll receive it 7/13. 7/13 came & went, no package. Still shows as in process I’ll just have to call customer service & cross my fingers they can help.
I contacted Customer Service on 7/22 regarding my order. They just responded yesterday, 8/28, to say my order has been cancelled.

I just placed an order on the saks website and I’m not sure if I actually purchased the item. I used PayPal and when I hit the submit order button I received an error message. When I tried to resubmit the order, it looked like it was processing but then the page reloaded and said my shopping bag was empty. I received a PayPal transaction email for the price of the bag but no confirmation email from saks. No order number ever appeared on my screen and it’s not listed in the PayPal email. I emailed customer service and they got back to me quickly enough but they couldn’t find an order under my name or email. The item is now sold out. I know that PayPal won’t charge me until the item ships but I’m just confused about what happened here. Did I actually complete the transaction or not? Am I going to receive my item? Should I try shopping for the item elsewhere? These are all rhetorical questions of course but reviewing this thread indicates that I’m not the only one that this has happened to. Saks needs to fix their system so customers aren’t left in limbo!

Same thing happened to me!!! I hate Saks!!! They suck. This happened to me 3 times now. I ask them why they even list items if they don't have them in stock. I never get anyone in the US anymore either. I always have to talk to someone in another country. Before you could talk to a person in the US. I'm so mad they sent me 3 private 20% off coupons today and when I tried to buy two items it never worked!!! They were full price $800 blazers. This has happened to me many times. They are the worst company. I'm sticking with Neiman Marcus!!!

I have a return issue with Saks and am beyond pissed at this point. I bought a few handbags on sale didn’t like them so I returned them a week later. I shipped via USPS per their return label and have not received my refund yet. I ended up opening a dispute with Amex over it included the tracking info and they finally responded two days ago with the dispute declined. I also emailed Saks about it and they responded saying that they never received the return items. Now I’m going to have to waste a bunch of time on the phone with Amex over this. I made the return on 5/28 if they haven’t received it yet then that’s their issue with the post office not my fault. I will NEVER shop with Saks again after this.
That is is so strange that AMEX would deny your dispute since you provided proof that Saks received the items back. Did they say why they denied your claim?

I am happy to report that Amex has credited me for my return. I think the claim was denied because I didn’t upload a copy of my return receipt. I called them and had them re-open the case. I checked my account online and it said it needed more info and I uploaded the receipt. Two days later it was closed in my favor. It’s annoying that they never told me they wanted to have that the first time.

Saks.com is the worst company ever!!! I paid for two blazers and they only shipped one blazer. The invoice stated there should have been two blazers in the package, but the Saks store in CT stole the second Smythe blazer!!! They only shipped the ALC blazer. Saks.com customer service says I have to wait 14 days to investiagate!!! No, they should either refund me now or ship the Smythe blazer. It's still showing in stock on their website. This is why I had stopped shopping with them before!!!! I will just do a charge back if they don't refund me

I recently ran into a problem with this. I ordered a pair of Fendi shoes ON FRIDAY MORNING (pretty early) and then ordered a scarf from Saks Off Fifth several hours after putting my order in for the shoes. My scarf has already arrived and my shoes are still processing. I messaged a CS (wanted to make sure that there wasn’t an error on my end- as that happens sometimes) and was told something like “it was being prepared and awaiting packaging”. Now it’s almost 6 pm Monday and nothing, still processing. This has happened if I have ordered on a Saturday but this is absurd! It was a sale item too so if it doesn’t go through, I most likely won’t even get it. I’m sticking with Neiman’s for future purchases.

Saks is so awful! I placed an order last July. They notified me 6 weeks later that 1 of my items was cancelled. They never did send me an email to let me know they cancelled the other item. Even when I checked my account it would say preparing to ship. The customer service rep was not trained well either. He could not tell me when it was cancelled or why it was cancelled or if I could even reorder.

I had a bad experience with Saks as well. I ordered a blazer that was on sale for $1499. I noticed a few days later in had gone on sale for $999 AND they had my size. I chatted with the rep and they said they would give me the adjustment (or rather 'put in a request"), implying it was something they would do. If I had thought it was an issue, I would have ordered it again right then. Meanwhile, the price goes back up and they give me no adjustment. I chatted again with a rep who told me that since I didn't keep the transcript of the chat, I was SOL. So I chatted again with another rep who told me that they did in fact have the request and that 'the back office had declined it because it was a sale item to a sale adjustment'. I said well you should have told me that was the policy that day instead of trying tell me it was my fault for not having the proof of the conversation. I did ask for the transcript to be emailed but they said I could just save the file which I didn't do. So I asked to speak to as supervisor and of course there weren't any available so they left a message for one to call me back. No call of course. So finally, I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. After a wait of a half an hour, a very nice rep listened to the whole story and gave me my adjustment AND sent me a $75 gift card. I was prepared to stop shopping at Saks for this.

Saks online is horrible now. I tried at least 10 times to place an order over a span of two days. The first nine times were blocked as fraud, and supposedly the last time finally went through. I tried Paypal as well, which didn't work either. I was stupid to keep trying. Right now there is a pre-authorization on my debit card, and one on my credit card, for the same large amount of around $26,000. They are saying it will drop off the cards within 72 hours since the orders, for some reason, did not go through on their end. Saks has no record or knowledge of the orders, and they say they didn't process. I called both my bank and credit card and they both say that on their end, it looks fine and that cards were charged. The available funds were debited from both accounts.

So what is wrong with saks? They can't even check their system for my card details to verify that the funds were successfully debited? It is mindblowing to me. I have never experienced this on any other website.

I am not going to attempt to process the order again, I don't have an infinite amount of credit and I can't afford to have another $26,000 charge on my cards that I have to wait 72 hours to drop off. I am done with Saks.

Update: It is now nearly a week later, and the pre-authorizations have still not fallen off my debit card or my credit card. They are both still pending, and have not posted to either account. However, because it is pending, it is holding a total of $52,000 of funds in limbo. Getting pretty upset now. I called Saks and they said there is nothing that can be done except to wait longer for it to fall off. :cursing:

Well. I learned my lesson again… this time from Saks Off 5th. About a year ago, I placed an order with them and it arrived in time with no issues. This time however, a much different experience. I ordered a Roberto Cavalli suitcase mid-day Thursday. I opted for 2 day shipping just in case I found I didn’t like the size or anything of the suitcase I could exchange it in a timely fashion. So long story short, I understand they don’t deliver on weekends which is frustrating but I get it. The order was supposed to ship Monday. FedEx sent me a message YESTERDAY MORING that it was being transferred to my area and was still going to be delivered that night. Still no updates at this point on where the item is other than in transit. Well, FedEx is showing it as delayed (with no new scheduled delivery date) and when I try to track my order from the Saks Off Fifth site, they cannot locate it. I am hoping when I call customer care, I can get a refund for the shipping.
