I ordered a purse on Saks Fifth Avenue on Friday and they have yet to process it. My card kept rejecting on the site so I used PayPal. PayPal said Saks Fifth needs to process it for me to be charged. I totally understand we are in the middle of a pandemic and things may be slow but I thought I would ask if any of you had experience paying via PayPal and waiting for the dept store to process your order. Last thing I want to do is cancel and then re-purchase only to order twice.

I've had issues with Saks customer service lately. Much worse than other stores also dealing with the same Covid issues.

Yes!!!! I had a very strange interaction with one of the customer service reps. He answered the phone, I was telling him my issue and he just...didn't respond....like he was clearly there because I could hear feedback and FB messenger pings, but he never said anything!! I am beyond pissed.

So sorry. :hugs: How rude of him... :blah: Never say never, but at this point I don't ever plan to buy from Saks again. Such poor service. The first purse was horribly scratched up. So bad... Clearly a display model or return. And a day late in them shipping it out. The replacement they didn't even send until the day it was supposed to arrive, and had a couple scuffs. So hopefully your purse will be in perfect condition when it arrives.

I called Saks to ask them to price match a pair of Tory Burch shoes I bought from them. I found them cheaper on the Tory Burch website. They told me they don’t price match with Tory Burch although they are Tory Burch shoes. I thought that was crazy and asked to speak to the manager but was told none was available but they would call me back. Glad I didn’t hold my breath...

Ugh... Rotten! So sorry. Would you be able to return the Saks shoes, and buy the cheaper pair from TB, or will the TB sale not last long enough?

I don’t know if their customer service department people are the same as their billing department but when I called Saks about 2 years ago with a mistake on my bill, the billing department was clearly NOT in the USA. I Understand that companies will farm out parts of their business to overseas locations because it’s cost effective for them, but they can’t hire people who can’t speak nor understand English when the majority of the calls they will be taking will have to be conducted in English.

I could but I just don’t feel like going to UPS so I was going to just suck it up. I haven’t checked the TB website since to see if they are still on sale or not. Maybe I’ll check later.

Don’t get me started on this! Ugh!

Saks is the worst. Sometimes I think companies deserve to go out of business based on how poorly they're run.

I ordered a white silk bowtie and cummerbund for my (now) husband to wear to our wedding and they sent me a bowtie and a pocket square. I was frantic (this was a few weeks before our wedding - my husband decided LAST MINUTE he wanted to wear white silk instead of black silk) and called CS and it was clear I'd been routed to a call center in the Phillippines and the rep was reading from a script. I asked if I could exchange the wrong item for the cummerbund or have him reorder it while I shipped the wrong item back and he said I had to return it in-store. Fortunately, there's a store near my office but because they weren't willing to do the exchange they lost out on a sale for two items. I ended up buying a nicer white silk bowtie and cummerbund set from Nordstrom and paid extra to have it rush delivered.

So sorry about that. :hugs: The last thing you needed was more stress and work right before your wedding.

Something similar happened to me a few weeks back when Saks had a huge promo and all YSL bags & slgs were included in their sale. I was trying to purchase a cardholder and my card kept getting declined, so I kept re-entering my information. Little did I know that I was getting charged literally every time I was clicking "submit" (it kept saying error so not sure how that happened). My order finally went through but then the next morning, they emailed me saying that the cardholder was out of stock.. I ordered 2 other cheaper items to qualify for the promo but I immediately called FedEx to send the items back to Saks cause I only wanted the cardholder. My bank got rid of the duplicate charges but told me to wait for Saks to refund me for the 2 other items. Took me forever to get a hold of customer service cause their line just kept ringing continuously. 3 weeks later and I barely got an email TODAY saying they received the returned items, but the charge is still there :cursing: This was my first experience with Saks and I always assumed they were like Nordstrom. Totally learned my lesson and I'll never buy from them again!!

p.s sorry for the long rant

OK now I'm a bit worried. The salesperson had a heavy accent and I could barely understand him. He said that the paypal charge was not processed by

Oh no!! I'm so sorry. Nothing instills anxiety in me like thinking I was needlessly charged for something! Heck, I even returned a $15 PVC bag from Ebay because it was the wrong one. Husband was looking at me crazy when I was verifying ten times with the customer service rep that I was not double-charged. Hope that's honestly the case..

There have been news reports of Saks company acquiring Neiman Marcus. Can you imagine? They would ruin Neiman Marcus if that happened.

Years ago I had an issue with billing for Jimmy Choo boots. I complained and they never fixed it. Everytime I spoke with CS, they acted like my customer complaint history wasn't documented.

I stay far away from them.
