Saint laurent carre bag

The Carre just arrived but I am a little bit disappointed by the color though the bag has a beautiful shape and the perfect size.

I hoped for dark camel but I would describe it more orange and very dull unfortunately.

1000 EUR still is too much for a bag I like but don‘t love.

The pictures don’t show the correct shade. It is definitely more orange.

Yes it has the top handle . Here is a picture of it.
I can fit full size wallet , my sunglasses with case , my lip gloss , small perfume . My large size phone fits into a slot it has in the back . Looks great handheld , crossbody , shoulder .

I am still worried about the opening mechanism but what I do when I’m with the kids and I have to go into my purse time after time I just leave it open and still looks great. Grainy leather is like channel cavier leather. You can’t really scratch it or it doesn’t show . It’s not digging into my chest or shoulder when I wear it because it has no chains . Goes with almost all outfits . I’m definitely keeping this one !

This is why, despite my handle name, I no longer carry YSL generally. I hate their closures, especially the snap closures now that I have children.

Was in Paris this wknd, saw and tried on both the smooth black calf leather and the glossy more patent leather one. I liked the look of it, more a vintage/classic silhouette which I prefer, with minimal branding, known only to those who are handbag lovers or look up close. Def considering getting it but I spent a *little* too much on other items so will hold off for now lol

Hi, I just got a black one and love her soooo much! I did, however, notice that the bag's depth has been reported to be very different from different vendors: from 5cm to 7cm--did Saint Laurent change the depth or was that just squished a bit too much? Hope they did not change the design! Thanks!

Just got a croc-embossed one in black. Have been after a croc Celine for the longest time but couldn’t justify the expense so this is a wonderful compromise for me. A few pics attached! ☺️

Beautiful, congrats! Do you think it can be a everyday casual type of bag? I usually only carry keys, phone, tri fold wallet, lipstick and sometimes a compact. I wanted the celine box bag for a long time but tried it on last month and it was too big and I don’t like the accordion style, was looking at carre but can’t find much on it.

I haven’t really used it much so far as I’m in the UK and we’ve been on lockdown since December! But I absolutely intend to use it as an everyday bag because like you I don’t carry much at all most times.

Probably some people might find it a bit ‘extra’ (I know croc sometimes has this ‘dressed up’ vibe) but I don’t care! So, yes, absolutely will be an everyday bag for me! x
