No help on the SA but for sales tax, if you live in a state that has a Bloomies then you wouldn’t be able to avoid the sales tax. If not then having the item shipped as a gift will avoid sales tax.

If there is a store in your state, you should be charged the sales tax for your state. Hence why if you order from a store that only has locations in say NY and your shipping address is not in the state of NY, you are not charged sales tax.
