Thanks, everyone! This has been a BIG week. Today the company called and said they were finalizing approvals for a job offer to me - looks like it's going to go well! I work from home, and that will stay the same - travel for meetings and client visits, the rest of the time in the comfort of my yoga pants. I'm really thankful to God for giving me this opportunity - thank you for all the kind words and support. This has been the company I wanted to join for a long time - the culture is so supportive, very nice people and they made me feel right at home.
Now I'm at my little girl's dance class, and Rory's hanging out with me...I think she wants to go celebratory shopping on Black Friday if all the job stuff goes through. And really, she's earned it - who am I to tell her no?

I enjoyed reading this whole thread from start to finish. Firstly, I loved seeing and reading about your packing! I'm regretting not keeping Rory; while she is too big a bag for my everyday life...maybe not Clearly she's the It Bag for travel and business.

Thank you very much! Mom gave the gloves to me as a gift in 2002 - I think she found them at T.J. Maxx. I love them, and keep hoping I'll find another pair. They didn't have a tag or anything. These gloves are interesting, they're like microfiber - super lightweight but also warm.

Annndddd the AMAZING news came today - I got the full details of the official offer - I'm still pinching myself. They gave me a higher level job than we'd been discussing, and the package was MUCH better than we'd discussed. I'm not embellishing when I say this job is changing my life. I'm so thankful, and know my part is to pay it forward for other people who were in the same boat with me - job eliminated after 8+ years.
It's easy to see why this company is so hard to get into - nobody leaves! 😄
