Rolex size question

Not many (if any here on this thread), have this concern - but if you are in your late 40-s or older... well, I am 51 (yesterday!) and can no longer read the time (much less the date) on the ladies size watches. Faces are much too small anymore. Sold mine, and now have a gold midsize President (31mm) with diamond bezel, a steel Submariner (40mm), and Tuesday being delivered is a Men's Datejust (36mm), stainless steel, smooth bezel with salmon dial and oyster bracelet.

MY dream Rolex is an all- gold Sub with blue dial and bezel. Yum. Someday maybe I'll have one.

HEY!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I bet your incredibly glamourous too! I am 42 at the mo,and though my eyesight isn't fading yet(i think!) I wear a gents GMT2 in all steel,I love it so much I rarely wear my steel mid-size now, although I think if I was presented with a mid-size such as yours I would happily wear that!!Yum! And the gold combo you want your future sub in is beautiful!! I sold an awful lot of those when I was in the Trade and their loveliness never lost its appeal to me!!

So good to know that you feel comfortable sporting a big watch,I always worried it was a young footballers wife thing,so its fantastic that you do!!! Thank you for that I will wear mine for a lot more years to come without batting an eyelid now!!!XXXXXXXXX

I'm attaching a picture of my ladies size for reference. I think the mid-size looks nicer, especially the more I see it with all these pics that are posted. Still love mine though, lol.

I'm 5'4 and about 145lbs (trying to lose weight! lol)... and I think the mid-size would look nicer on someone with my frame.

Excuse the really bad quality, but I'm at work and had to use my phone to take the picture. Hope this helps.

BEAUTIFUL pics! Both look lovely on you!

Thank you so much!! I think your ladies size looks wonderful on you! I f I was'nt as tall with my frame I would have gone for the ladies size, unfortunately I'm A 6/8 AT 5'6'' and have big hands on the most ridiculously thin arms, I look like I have birds legs for hands and arms!!!

I have a Pearlmaster, and it's perfect for me. It's big enough that I can read the numbers just fine, but it's not so big it takes over my wrist. I don't know the measurement, but as far as I know, it's the standard size of the other Lady Datejust watches.

Ladies you are all incredible!!! I will definately now be looking at the mid size. I totally agree about the ladies being a bit small for the depth, something I didnt really take in before, but it clicked when it was mentioned.

At almost 40 (soon) my eyes are just fine, but Im hoping to have this watch for a long time to come!!! So bigger might be better just in case the eyes need some help!!!

Also Im 5`6 and not petite, so mid size should be fine. It certainly looks great on all you gals.:yahoo:

As for color, diamonds etc, still have no idea!

i ordered mine with diamond silver dial on ss/wg. If you like mop then that would be great, and of course it does cost more.

-- Aww that is sweet of you to say! Glaorous? Well, I dress in jeans 99.99% of the time, tee-shirts and then Fab watches and gorgeous handbags and my collection of Western boots.

As you get older, don't worry, you will become more confident in yourself and will do what you like, dress how you like, and wear whatever darn watch you choose! I used to spend so much time sweating the small stuff, now, I dress, make-up and go (to please myself, not others) Life only gets better!

I cant wait to see it!!!! Very exciting. Im pretty sure I will be getting ss band, but haven`t decided about the other things.

Im just glad I didnt let the shop assistant talk me into a ladies size!!!:cursing:

I prefer the mid-size as well. I am 5'8" and a size 8 and I have always preferred mens-sized dials. I posted this pic in another thread, but thought this might be helpful...

it does not get here until Christmas week because the New York distribution center has none, therefore they have to order from Switzerland. It's ok, at least no one has touched my brand new Rolly

most of ADs, they do not have those midsizes in stock. Hence, they've tried to talk you out of it because the stock up of ladies which would be carrying to next year to make it old.

And I also looking into the mens for myself future purchase. Like next year or so :yahoo:

I will keep your fabulous words of wisdom close to my heart from now on!! Even in jeans, ladylike casual, rocking a cool bag and a watch I bet your a real fox!!!XXXXX

OOOOhhhh, now we're talkin real drool territory!!!! Mid-size carries the mop and diamonds so well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You would however have to go with the w/gold fluted bezel, they won't do dia and mop on an all steel model, but the size of the mid carries the combination of all three elements enviously............you know like the friend who could very annoyingly make wearing a grain sack look like haute couture and you always feel a real scruff when shes with you, even tho you've made an effort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends on your wristsize littlesharon. If you have a smaller wrist, I think the lady's size is better. I have the lady's size b/c my wrist is very small.

For larger sizes, I would go with a more sportier style watch.
