Rolex Owners: what do you think about oyster with celebration dial?

I’ve been on a wait list for quite some time so I’m likely going to go gray for it - it will be the only time I’m not paying retail but it’s so scarce I doubt I’ll ever get it any other way. Boo!

I wish you good luck! Please post your pics when you get it. I can’t wait… 😜

From what I understand there are not a lot made because the enameling of the dial is really difficult. In any case my AD said she’s only seen 1 in the past couple of years - in a 41mm so that’s why I’m not holding much hope I’ll be able to get it at retail. I’ll def post it when I get it!!

I just got this today in 31mm, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I like it. It is my 4th rolex purchase since 2010. I have three now as I sold a lady size yachtmaster I bought around 2011 in 2017.
Congratulations! Would you post any modeling pics? How did you get it, waiting on a list or just luck?

My watch is used as a time piece, I don't want to have "extra" going on just to read the time at a glance. That said I do wish I had gotten diamond markers but oh well.

Also my motto has always been--if you (I) have to ask, you (I) have already made up your (my) mind and are just looking for support. But get what you love is also another motto of mine.:graucho:

The longer I wait, the more I want it! 😂 Unfortunately, still waiting for the call from official retailer …

So, does this mean you've decided to get it? I honestly LOVE that you are going for it! What is a "neutral" to one person, isn't necessarily so for another. I have a friend whose wardrobe would look amazing with this watch almost every day. I personally find that yellow accessories work with almost every outfit I own, while my black and beige accessories languish almost entirely unloved in my closet.

I only have 1 (for me) expensive watch, but I really would love to have an orange dive watch for my next one. Life's too short to be boring! Good luck on getting this one in as quickly as possible! 🤞 🙂

Yes, I decided to go for it: it’s seems to be refreshing, perfect summer style.
Just not sure regarding the size: I have classic 34mm oyster with champagne dial and happy with it.
This style has 31, 36 or 41mm.
36 seems to be too big for me, but 31 mm might be too small? 🤔
Anyway both are not available. My AD told me, that the waiting list for 31mm is shorter…
I do not trust the grey market, so have a lot of time to decide, if I get any chance later 🤞🏻

So exciting! I love to hear about fun choices and not just the boring same-ol', same-ol'!

Size trends come and go but currently, watch sizes are going smaller compared to what they were the last few years. Of course "smaller" here is relative, since the trends were at one point occasionally ludicrously large imo.

I read online that the "classic" rolex size for a woman is 31mm and 36mm for a man. My personal choice would be to go smaller, but it all depends on how it fits your wrist. If that is you in the first modeling picture, I would say it looks great. I wouldn't go to 36.

Dear Berengeria,
Thank you for your reply and advice. Yes, the first modeling picture was taken with the size 31mm.
Meanwhile I had a possibility to try 41mm and 31mm.
41mm is huge for me, 31mm seems to be the right one. I hope to get it one day … 🤞🏻😉

The 31 looks fantastic on you. I've never seen this dial on anyone and didn't think it would pop like it does on you! Hope you get it soon!
