Recently I saw the celebration dial and fell in love with it šŸ˜ …
What are your thoughts about it: extraordinary or childish?
I also can’t decide between 31 and 36mm. The 31mm is on the modeling pic, the next size 36mm was not available to try.
Any owners with modeling pics here? What is your experience and opinion?
Thanks in advance!

I don't love the novelty/bright dial, but that's just me. Maybe if I had collected all the timepieces I wanted I'd consider adding a novelty piece.
I have small wrists and love my 31 for daily, hoping to add a 31 or 36 gold Presidential eventually!
Here's my 31 on my 13.33cm wrist for reference, hope it helps!

Thanks! Your modeling pics are amazing, the size 31 is perfect! 🤩

I advise you to think long-term about the dial choice if it's likely to be your one Rolex for the foreseeable. Something versatile and fad resistant is really the better choice. My own is a 31mm white dial DJ, fluted and Jubilee, very simple and goes with everything. I picked it partly knowing that I always wear bracelets on the other arm, so it has to work as a companion to other jewelry. Good luck!

If you have many watches and truly adore the novelty dial, go for it. But, I think if you have to ask,
then pass. . . I would personally go with something more classic. The 31 is a nice size.
On some wrists, size 36 and up can be overpowering. The best is to try it on in person and see
if you fall in love with it. I personally prefer the oyster band

I do like a fun pop of colour on a watch (I have the turquoise OP) but I also have 2 more neutral watches in my collection which I love. If it were me, I’d buy the most wearable watch first.

As for the size, I prefer smaller watches. I have tiny wrists (c. 13cm) & I have a 28mm DJ & 31mm OP. They are perfect.

If the colors were different, I would love it. I don't care for Rolex in general just because it is a little expected and "ordinary" within the luxury watch field. The interesting dial here is MUCH more desirable for ME, except, like I said the colors are not my favorite. If you personally like the colors and the way they work together, then go for it. Sometimes classic is classic, but sometimes it's just "basic" so go for what you love and don't worry about it.

I’m in the minority here and I LOVE it and can’t wait to get it. I’d wear it all the time because I think it goes with everything! BUT I’m also a watch collector and I have a few Rolexes and lots of other classics that I feel this would give my collection a fun perspective. If you get it, you should just ask if you’ll definitely wear it to justify having it. I wear all of mine (ok, most!) of my watches in rotation so I know I’d definitely give it wrist time.

And I also love larger watches so I’m getting the 36mm.

Are you on a waiting list? How long are waiting?
