Hi members
Depending on your personality and clothing however Rolex for me has to be plain simple without any Diamond for me, I think Rolex is already bling and shinny on its own. if difficult to make decision what about buying both. Good luck

Diamond markers of course! :p

Personally I think roman numerals are at odds with the elegance of the Datejust design and the fluted bezel, especially in the smaller case sizes. If I were to forego diamond markers I'd much sooner opt for the simple baton markers than roman numerals - they are too clunky and take up far too much real estate on the dial.

That's certainly a minority opinion among Rolex owners, judging from online discussion at least. They are only too busy on a dial in the 26 mm size (IMO), where they do seem crowded. Above that size, Romans are classic and elegant.

That said, if you like diamonds get diamond dial markers.

Diamond markers are sparkly while Roman numerals are very classy. Well, they now have the new Roman numerals dial with the number IV encrusted in diamonds. This might seem to be the best of both worlds. With that being said, I personally love the bling of the diamond markers. I just bought the midsize datejust with the 24 diamonds bezel and the diamond markers. I really love it. I would have posted the pictures but I don't know how to do it using my iphone. Might try later on.

I know this is a very old thread, but my question now is similar, but for a 36mm watch. I would like a dark dial but I am between black with Roman numbers, black with diamonds or black MOP with diamonds. Does anyone know the diamond carats? I have searched at Rolex website but I can’t seem to find the total carat weight or the size of the diamond markers... only that the watch has 10 diamonds Thanks for your help!

My most recent purchase is the 36mm with diamond dial. I LOVE it and would not do anything different. The diamonds really aren't "worth it" per se, if you are looking at carat weight, but as with everything Rolex, you pay a premium.

Lilsweetie, your watch is gorgeous!! Love your combo with the love bangle in WG and your ring. So classy. I know with Rolex the diamonds would have a big mark up looking at carat weight, but it is not stated even the total carat weight? I have a nice Longines with diamond bezel and markers and at the Longines website the tcw was stated and they gave me a certificate with the specs of the diamonds.

As a wedding present my darling fiance wants to buy me a watch. I am set on a Rolex Midsize Datejust with a jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel in SS. I am also pretty sure I want a black dial... but I am torn on whether to get a roman numeral dial or diamond markers for the bezel? This is going to be my forever watch so the additonal cost, while a consideration, is not the determining factor. I plan to wear it every day. As a reference, I typically wear a lot of jewelry on a daily basis my almost 3 ct. e ring, my wedding band is a 4.5ct. eternity band, diamond studs, diamond solitate necklace, tennis bracelet etc. So a diamond bezel wouldn't be too "dressy" for me. But I do like the look of the roman numerals. Any thoughts? And pictures would be VERY welcome! Thank you!!!

It seem that you love diamonds. I say go with what you love most. Rolex with diamonds makers is stunning.

But if you also love Roman numbers and Black dial. Maybe try the 18k Rose gold and white gold without diamond. It’s very beautiful and timeless in President bracelet. I promise you it will go well with your diamond bracelet and engagement ring. Take your time try different watch when you at the Boutique. Good luck
