Roman! Never a fan of stick markers...

While you're at it, how about considering white dial with roman markers? This is such a classic and makes the watch pop! I think champagne dial looks a bit blah, unless you're getting diamond markers to jazz things up a bit.
Thanks for the feedback. By the way, I saw your thread for your new Rolex and it is really pretty!

Roman would be my preferred choice. Just acquired this beauty, 31mm rose gold and steel. I had to wait a couple of months for the white dial.

Gorgeous and congrats! I love the crispness of Roman against the white dial, plus I have aging eyes. :D This will be my next watch (first Rolex) except I might do YG and a domed bezel. It all depends on how the various combinations look.

Is the white dial with Romans your favorite dial for the YG and SS Datejust? What do you think about a champagne dial with gold Romans or a champagne dial with white stick markers?

Hi -- Sorry, I meant to vote especially when I jumped into your thread to comment about someone else's watch :D. So, I voted for the Roman on champagne dial. Aesthetically, I like that version.

But for functionality, I'd prefer white stick markers on champagne -- the contrast will make it easier to read your watch. That's a concern for me only because I'm likely older than you. ;) But stick markers look more masculine and sporty to me, so I'd prefer it on different style of Rolex.

Personally, white dial with Roman is my top choice.

Regardless, I love your choice of a TT datejust! I want one so it can tie my YG and WG jewellery together. Keep us posted on your decision!

Thank you for such detailed feedback, HiromiT! I really appreciate it :smile1:

I am looking forward to seeing the champagne dial in person to see which markers stand out to me. Even though I was originally against the white face with gold Romans, it is starting to look more appealing lately.

You have really good taste in watches. I, like you, want a TT Datejust to tie together my YG and WG jewelery. Plus, I love the look of the TT Datejust!

Yes, you definitely need to try them on and see which one sings to you. I'm excited for you! I myself haven't looked in person yet because I'm still saving my pennies and keep getting distracted by other silly trinkets. :p So, I won't be getting one until the end of the year or next year at the earliest. Sigh.

Be sure to share mod pics of the ones you try. :smile1:

Have you looked at the silver dials?? They compliment the two tones nicely and offer more contrast with the roman numerals.. They are actually more off-whitish than true silver... but they only come with Roman numerals with diamonds at the IV... :push:

I was told that I can get my Rolex for my next birthday, but my birthday isn't for over 8 months! I plan on getting it though within the next month or two using a little persuasion :D :p

I will definitely be sure to post pictures once I get it!

I actually liked the steel dial you posted pictures of in another thread! I think that if I were to go for a silvery dial, I would go with the steel since it is very unique. I wanted to keep my watch more gold than silver though. That's why I was leaning more towards the champagne dials!

The white dial has been looking more appealing lately, too... :smile1:

Silver is different than steel, much lighter.. It's pretty much neutral..

Roman on white or MOP. Diamonds on champagne or MOP. Silver dial only if you are going for steel/ white gold. I had the same issue with dial and markers but decided on diamonds on MOP, no regrets, in fact I kept reminding myself luckily I didn't go for otherwise, that was 5 years ago. Prices have gone up almost 40% today.
