Received the Western Rivet Rogue today and all the gunmetal colored rivets are cracked. It literally looks like they are made of plastic. Pretty shocking for a bag that retailed for $795! Does anyone know if the newer rivet designs are made out of the same material?
How sad! I can't help because I usually go for simpler bags without all of the added baubles. I do think that's a pretty bag though and am sorry you're having that experience with an expensive Coach bag.......
So sorry that happened to you. I received one last week in perfect condition. I had to return it because it was too heavy for me but it was beautiful. The rivets on mine were the same as they have used before and very substantial. Wish you had gotten the bag I did as it was such good quality.

I just realized I read your email wrong and I did not get the western rived rouge. So sorry I replied incorrectly. I am having eye surgery tomorrow and apparently my vision is more affected than I thought it was.
Everyone who is reading this thread please know that I answered totally incorrectly to glitter maven because I am having eye issues which require two surgeries. The first one is tomorrow and the second one is Feb 1. Thanks to all for your kind comments and to Mortuary Maven for your video. Also, mom3boyz, I did look at the Brooklyn and love it. The trouble is I can't make up my mind and when I am in this state of "I don't know what I want" it's best not to buy. Glancing through a Neiman Marcus catalog I found this Marc Jacobs bag and I think it's great.

I don't suppose I should put that link on this thread but what a fun bag! Totally unlike anything I have ever owned and I wonder if I would ever carry it but who knows as my birthday is coming soon. Perhaps I will step out of my conservative zone for once in my life! I doubt it but it is so cute and different.

No worries! Yeah the rivets are defective or something. Here's what they looked like when the bag arrived. I am wondering if their newer rivet bags have issues or it was just a bad batch? Either way, terrible quality control!

That is a shock to see quality like that and I can't imagine how or why the quality control people could miss that. It would be nice if Coach addressed the "why" quality control missed this or the why you received it. Was the box damaged in shipment?

No it was not. I purchased it online from Saks. I did read in another post that someone else had the same issue so it's not just the bag I got. It almost felt like those rivets were made out of plastic. They looked to be hollow.
I have a feeling the rivets are maybe made of resin? I asked an online associate on the coach.com website and she had no idea what the rivets were made of.
Coach.com associates never know the answers to questions.......been there, done that. It's kind of embarrassing really.....why have "help" when they don't know the answers? I will reiterate that I do love Coach but come on.....! Service and quality are everything.
Oh for sure. I love Coach as well and some of the bags I have are top notch quality wise. I just thought a 1941 bag would have higher quality because they are so expensive but I'm thinking price does not necessarily indicate that with this brand. I have Coach bags that were$125 that are beautifully made.

I am petite myself . I did try this bag on . However , I did not purchase due to the weight . I think the size looked fine on my frame . But I do like a bigger bag . If this bag was more structured and a tad bit lighter I would of purchased it . I suggest going to the store to try it on . If you can not . I believe there are a few you tube videos on it . That may help
