I agree. I wish I had bought/kept a first generation one. Even the second generation I can say was better. The 1941 leather "use to" smell like leather...now nothing. And just not the same.

Speaking of this the older generations vs the latest. I just repurchased a 2nd generation one. SMELLS SO GOOD! I had purchased the saddle during the last PCE and the leather wasn't the same, more pebbled, more shiny and did not have that lovely leather smell. So glad I returned and found an older one!

I've seen it mentioned, but I have scoured the forum and haven't found a photo. Hopefully they get it to UPS tomorrow, and I have it sometime this coming week. The California stores had stock, and I'm in Arizona, so not too far to go.

Saks Fifth Avenue has their Rogue bags on sale, and they do have the clochettes (sp?). They only have black and beechwood, but in case anyone is interested....
