I like this rogue tote better than the newer versions where they sewed the pouch in to the bag. The beechwood one I have has the pocket sewed in the side and I think it takes away from the pretty lining. I don't remember this color combo but it looks great!
Thanks @Bagmedic. I remember this color and the links because it was the only Rogue tote that I liked when they were first released. Glad I was able to get one.

Hi ladies! I have been lurking for a while and am obsessed with the look of the Rogue. I have some questions if some of you seasoned Rogue owners would help. I am looking to buy a Rogue 25 in black or a brown shade (preferably black with black hardware) in the next few months. I will clean and polish my bag from time to time but I will also use it daily and put it on the floor at restaurants, etc. I need to be able to live my normal life with my bag. It will be my daily bag for years. I have never bought a bag over $200 but think I will get it as a grad school graduation gift for myself. So this is like a big deal for me

1) How will it hold up do you think? Is this a bad choice for daily use if I want 5+years out of it? How slouchy and creased does the bag get over time?
2) Is the 25 comfortable to carry on your shoulder for a few hours at a time?
3) Should I be looking to buy a lightly used 1st or 2nd gen istead as it seems people preferred the quality of those?
4) Is there a different brand bag in this price range that has a minimalist look but is still classy and unique that you think I should look into?

My current alterntive is buying a small bag from Portland Leather Goods. This is about half the price and their leather is beautiful, but I like the multiple pockets and lining on the Rogue a lot. Also, the Rogue just feels more ~special~ but maybe that is just branding getting to me.

I appreciate any advice or tips!!

How you use your bag is up to you but I wouldn't put any nice bag on a floor of a restaurant. It would have to be something washable.

I agree it isn't ideal but unfortunately it is kind of inevitable for me. I will use an extra chair when easily available but a purse hook isn't realistic in my STEM industry where women don't even wear makeup usually. I have to fit into the company culture moreso than keep my bag clean :/.

1. The Rogues hold up very well. The majority of my collection are the regular size & they have been used heavily while still looking nice. In regards to the 25, it seems to hold its shape better than the regular size, and I would imagine it will also be a very sturdy bag.
2. I prefer the 25 as a shoulder bag- the straps are a great length & the bag is lightweight enough so they should be comfortable unless you carry a lot of heavy things.
3. If you want to save a few bucks, preloved is a good way to go, but Coach typically has sales in March and May & the Rogues have been included. I can’t speak to the quality difference between new v. old models as I have not seen the new bags.

As far as putting the bag on the floor, a black bag would hide dirt fairly well.
Hope this helps! Congrats on finishing grad school!

Thank you so much! You are an angel. This all makes me really excited and reaffirms what I thought to be true.

I check the daily Coach emails for sales, I will definitely look out for March and May ones. Any idea if black bags are included?
