Now let's just say the following:
1. I thought they shipped the bag with someone inside it because it was so heavy!

2. For $1500, there is something to be desired (writing that number doesn't make me feel nauseous, which is a shocking development and no doubt contributable to TPF). When I ordered over the phone, the price I was given was $1400 (I asked twice). The price sticker was ripped off the cardboard tag, so I think this bag was originally $1400. Coach 1941 box was slightly ripped in the corners. I save boxes for everything, so a bit annoyed.

I just know that if this bag were to cost anymore than $1500, I would not have even considered it. There are a few scratches, but I don't notice it as much because of the golden brass "lived in" metalwear. This is a positive! Heavy, substantial zippers and pulls, but the suede lining and python didn't impress me so much for some reason.

Hi, thanks so much for your review! Well, they charged me $1500 plus tax, so if I'm not satisfied when it comes today it's going back first thing. Lovely bag!

Did it ship from JAX? Mine shipped from the warehouse in the gift box, with all the protective foam and everything in the bags.

Yes they shipped from JAX! someone there removed all the protective packaging before placing them in the giftbox. I also bought a white mercer wallet and they handled it with grubby hands, it's all stained. When the shipping department folded the long handles thy were twisted and set against the bag causing those indents. You expect a flawless product when you open your gift box not having to wait several weeks for the dents to come out (per customer service instructions when I called to complain).

Oh I had tax added too, sorry, I just ignore that part of the cost. I have credit card rewards accumulated that covered the tax and a little bit extra. I will be upset if this could've been had on PCE...

Oh geez; really sorry to hear about the Mercer wallet! The Rogues that came to me didn't have twisted handles, but I think there were those indentations. I think if they wrapped the long handles before shipping, it may make things better. The saddle python 36 was fine on the outside, but two of the shoulder strap clasps don't work very well-at that price you'd expect everything to be great! It sounds like you love the bags at least though; enjoy them in the best of health! ;)

It was over $1600 for me after tax, so after receiving it today to compare with my saddle, I think it'll be going back. Just need to make sure I get the tea rose bag that suits my needs! The number on these bags remain pretty low, so I wouldn't worry too much about finding them later on PCE; it's still like over two months away.
