For those of you who have both the Rogue and the Rogue satchel, do you prefer one over the other? Why? I love my Rogues and am debating a satchel, but wonder if I would love it as much. The satchel size seems perfect for me, but I only saw them a long time ago in the store. It might have been the larger one as I thought it was big and wasn't attracted to it. I would love to hear some thoughts.
I'm going to chime in, too! I love all my rogues but for some reason the regular rogue is my least favorite shape even though I have more of those than the others. I think it is because of the straps not being long enough on the regular rogue and a tiny bit smaller than I would like. The pros and cons according to my opinion are:

Rogue Satchel Pros:
- Nice amount of interior space with room to add other items such as a water bottle (don't typically like to do this in case it leaks but there is room).
- Can easily sling it over my shoulder if need to be hands free
- No exposed suede to worry about weather
- Classic colors - I have chalk, oxblood, black w/whipstitch handle, both denim and grey with snake handles, and butterscotch w/ snake accents. Surprisingly, denim is my most fave in this line up.
- Can use the novelty straps to change up the look. The straps attach along the back side of the bag and because they are both on the same side, it lays better when carrying this way.

Rogue Satchel Cons:
- While a pro, also sometimes a con to be a little on the big size. I don't have the larger version of this bag but contemplate getting one for travel.

Regular Rogue Pros:
- Multiple of options for purchase. I have the most in this style due to availability.
- Decent size for all day
- Side sections are good for phones or items needing easy access

Regular Rogue Cons:
- Shoulder straps aren't quite long enough IMO especially in winter with coats.
- Exposed suede can be impacted by sudden weather changes
- Sometimes I feel it could be a teeny bit larger to accommodate items easily and lend room to add an item here and there along the day.
- I haven't connected shoulder straps to go Xbody because I feel this bag is too big and heavy for that and don't want to ruin the clasps doing this. They can get pulled on and then difficult to open. I bought a used bag where this is evident.
- Can't use the novelty bag straps to make shoulder carry easier. Makes the bag wonky IMO.

Rogue 36 Pros:
- Love the size but haven't taken mine out for a spin yet - note to self....put on To Do List! I feel these are more fall/winter bags for some reason. Guess I don't like to be weighed down in summer.
- Classic colors - Have saddle and olive with python handles and have the blue suede one. Yes, my hardware is starting to pit on the blue suede but I can live with it for the beauty of the bag.

Rogue 36 Cons:
- You'd have to not mind a larger bag and could get heavy.
- Haven't used to be able to comment on the straps but hear they are a little longer making shoulder carry easier.

Rogue 25 Pros:
- Love this size for weekends as it fits all the necessities easily
- Can connect the shoulder straps to go crossbody but this is also a con
- Cute colors to choose from

Rogue 25 Cons:
- Straps not long enough for shoulder carry unless maybe in summer.
- Connecting straps to go Xbody can damage the mechanisms and they get stuck. They also dig in to your shoulder by the end of the day.
- Optional purchase novelty straps don't work well because the bag tilts funny due to where it connects - IMO. But would work best on this regular rogue size.

I also love my two Rogue Totes but use those for lugging things to the office. I'd have to get used to carrying as a day bag.

I don't have the Rogue 39 or Rogue Shoulder Bag.

I think I have enough rogues.....don't you! I need to weed some out and sell. But who will be on the chopping block???? They are all so beautiful!

I'm looking for a style that would be classic for the office. My opinion is the pebbled leather has a more casual look to it and wouldn't wear it in say the financial services industry with a suit to a meeting. I would prefer something like the Cooper, Drifter or Grace bags.

Good luck with your decision! You will love the rogue no matter which one you purchase!

Hi @carterazo. I have 2 regular, 1 size 36 and 1 size 25 Rogue, which I love. I have 1 regular Rogue satchel in Butterscotch with snake detail that I love and wish I had purchased more of that size. It is a great size and it seems to hold more due to the shape. I purchased the Rogue satchel in size 36, but returned it because the shape was awkward. I know several tPFers own multiple Rogue satchels and love it as well. Hope this helps.
I have a regular Rogue in Black and the Rogue Satchel in gray with the snake handles. I reach for my regular Rogue more often because I love how comfortable it is on the shoulder. That said, the satchel is a great size and it’s really easy to find everything because it isn’t as tall as the regular Rogue. I prefer using it handheld though...the strap is comfortable but it feels a little more clunky to me on the shoulder whereas the regular Rogue just molds to your body. I love them both but love and use the regular Rogue more.
Hi @carterazo ! I love & have both- but honestly haven't actually left the house w anything larger than a 25 yet. They're very heavy, especially loaded, so I always cave and opt for a smaller (or less heavy) bag, though I do love the satchel sizes. (I'm loathe to give up my larger satchel despite this!) So if you're not one to be bothered by weight, I think you'd love either! They are gorgeous bags. [emoji813] I absolutely love the color combos of the interior/exterior.
And yes, the satchel shape is more awkward to schlep around, so it's for me, not thaaat mobile. I still love them, though!

(I keep adding to this post!)
They're a great size. Before I got a regular R a cpl weeks ago, I'd start with a 25 and need to carry more than what it would fit. The larger satchel I envisioned as a travel-via-vehicle bag. So for me, they're all different functions, and I'm starting to have doubts about having two of the same size regular satchel, should I decide to swap one out ...

Let us know what you decide! Which are you considering?

Thanks so much for all the feed back, ladies! As per usual, I am late to the game. I got my hands on a dark denim with snake handles. When I hold it, I really live the size - unsure about color since I already have a regular Rogue in that color. Plus, I don't want to take off all the wrappings in case I return it. When I walk away, I think, eh, I already have another in the same color. Then I hold it again and think, man, this is a great bag! [emoji28] I wish I would have searched for the butterscotch a year ago. Now they're long gone. Anyway, I have to really think it through before deciding. [emoji56]

I have the star studded regular size rogue in dark denim plus just got the snake satchel dark denim in the last FOS. I think the denim is such a gorgeous neutral that you would get a ton of use from both bags! The snake and colorblocking really make the bag pop! I have yet to cut tags though because I'm hoping it will show up in the next FOS again. I ordered 2 the last sale, one was in horrible shape but the 2nd came with dustbag and partially wrapped. They had removed the stuffing inside though and there is a big crease in the middle of the bag. I have it stuffed now hoping it smooths out incase I can't find another. My outlet is too far away to get to anytime soon.

There is a denim rogue with star studs? I don’t think I’ve seen this one! Do you have a pic? [emoji1]

Mine came wrapped to the nines with the dust bag inside! I was shocked. It even had all the little fillers under the strap, etc. I don't think I've ever gotten a fp bag from fos in such excellent shape. The regular Rogue in DD came close, but still.

Your star studded Rogue is really special and is actually very different from the satchel. I feel like mine are more similar. Argh this is harder than I thought. [emoji28] (I also have multiple blue bags in different shades. How many blue bags do I need? Scratch the word need. Use. How many blue bags can I use? [emoji12] )

That's EXACTLY what I'm pondering! (I'm trying to find my last semi-to you about this!!!)

Oh here it is-

Exactly!!! @Bagmedic, great post- completely agree (except the reg Rogue I haven't carried yet so good to know about the straps!)
@Bagmedic & @carterazo-
So I've been on the hunt for this denim/snake satchel ever since getting the gray instead, when it first went on sale. Fast forward to this past yr, when I ordered the satchel 39 as my giving up, but good-as-travel bag thinking. Faster forward to today, when I had hatched a completely elaborate plan to acquire a car to get to the outlet for the denim) snake and swap out my 39.

Mind you for starters, I own NOTHING this color and that was why I'd decided against it in the first place. It is truly a gorgeous bag, though!!!

So THEN, they wouldn't take back my non snake 39 bc it was too late (outlet hotline says at their discretion; I already got permission to ship it back but didn't want to let go of it until/IF I DEFINITELY had the snake); after staring at it all this time I began really liking its size; the snake regular looked SMALL in comparison!!! So, I was ready to leave it there, after ALL THAT. Especially since what would I do with not one but TWO anomaly-colored satchels??!!! Especially again after my anomaly Marine purchase!!! Plus I was in a huge rush to get the car back on time for car moving.

I bit the bullet ANYWAY and finally decided to bring both back home!!! It's a COLOSSAL hassle to rtn within the time period, based on my current situation. Really stressed.

I brought them both back; unpacked the snake and put it down.
I AM STILL MARVELING AT WHAT A GORGEOUS BAG THIS IS!!! Even for the past day as I went to work and back, I was relieved to have it!!! I just cannot believe how differently I feel about these!

So what do you think?! I can return one or either; I have a gray snake I LOVE (but haven't carried out bc somehow this one is neither here/there... It's GRAY!!!); I don't own anything else in this color palette (I'm very blacks/grays/whts w drastic color pop); I JUST got a marine 25!!! How many blue satchels do I need, for someone who doesn't wear blue???!:wtf::facepalm::whut:

Thoughts?
I surprisingly LOVE all these blues.

Oh you made me chuckle! You seem to be in a worse place than I am. For what it's worth, I would say keep the marine and the snake satchel which is what you always wanted. Return what you can. Can you sell the grey easily?
I used to be a one blue bag person. This lasted a very long time. Now I have 7 different shades. Is mineral blue or green? If it is considered more blue, then I have 8. I am definitely sliding down the blue rabbit hole. All that to say, if you only have three blue bags, you're good. They go with a lot of outfits. You'd be surprised.

Let us know what you decide!

I don't seem to lean toward blue bags unless it may be a nice navy bag but those are rare to find. I fell in love with the rogue satchel and got the denim w/ the snake handles. I don't think I'd like the plain denim one with the blue handles. There is something about the pop the snake handles give it to set off the blue color. It is one of my favorite bags surprisingly! It goes with a lot of the colors you mentioned you wear.

I also have the grey with snake handles and know what you mean. The handles sort of blend in with the bag and to me, not as striking as the denim blue one. But it is a style that works for me and I use the grey tea rose strap with it to give it a little pop of color.

Enjoy whatever you decide!
