<]there were three cashmere shawls. i don't know the name but i think rose revealed one awhile back with the crystals. GORGEOUS!!!!!!>

Oh my goodness, Delores! They had three of the embroidered shawls??? How much were they? I'm guessing they're all gone.

The BH sale started this morning. There were over 200 people lined up outside starting at 7AM. The store opened at 10. I was in the store from 10am - 3PM. Tons of merch, hundreds of scarves, shoes, canvas bags, leather bags, St. Louis, and other home merch. Also ready to wear. The discounts were from 40%-70%. My SA told me that they are getting new stock every day. The sale ends this Saturday.

To all sale experts:

Does H sales cover Birkin bags ?? probably not uh ?

years ago there was a croc birkin on sale in Paris- not sure the reason but still very expensive- one huge neg was that the "S" stamp was front and center near the clasp on the body of the bag- ugly and no way to hide it. Needless to say, it sold quickly irrespective of this unsightly disfugurement.

I have not looked at recent sale bags- is the "S" stamp as obnoxious on these?

Boo, what did you think of them? Do you remember the pattern? And, just what did you bring home, little missy??? ;)

I was petting one of them but didn't open it up to examine the pattern, it was really soft like the cashmere shawls, BUT... it was HEAVY!! probably because of all the beading, so I didn't bother opening them up. I was thinking what's going to happen when it's folded up and the beading gets rubbed against the cashmere, wouldn't that create a lot of runs and pulls???

You would be so proud of me CG~~ I came home empty handed:p DH and I didn't have to wait in line to get in at 2PM, but the line to pay was sooo long and was not moving at all. I was going to get a couple of scarf rings and some pochette and scarves but didn't really feel I HAD to have them. I'm so glad I didn't take DH up on his offer to line up for me at 8AM~~ But I might go back tomorrow when the crowd dies down :graucho:

That's always been my issue with them, too, Boo. That, and the fact that they're outrageously priced. I thought if they're on sale, maybe I could live with being a little more careful than usual. :graucho:

Aww, Boo! I wish you'd found something really wonderful! Who knows, maybe tomorrow???? ;)

Those shawls are gorgeous but the care and maintenance impractical- I have a silk organza shawl (not Hermes but another high-end designer) with heavy bead-work- if you read the care instructions- no hand wash, no dry cleaning- what do you do? Mine was a gift but I am still afraid to wear it to any function where food/drink may be an issue. This may be why they are at the sale. Plus, as was pointed out, they are very heavy.
