I’m surprised no one is talking about how the Rodeo is basically the Olsen’s beaten up Kelly. Am I the only one that sees this? The slouch, the gaping, the warped flap, the gold closure…

The funny thing is, even as a riff on the notorious Kelly, I’m totally drawn to the Rodeo. The leather looks so drool-worthy smushy and it is actually a very functional design!

You're not the only one. I just picked up on the Rodeo trend and the first thing I thought of was "a beat up birkin/kelly". It is cute though, strangely it's got this cool vibe I just cannot describe!

PS: I just looked up the prices. Not cool at all. Not cool, for a "under the radar" bag. Hahaha.

Um...I really don't mean this in a negative way, but everyone bemoaning the lack of branded/personalized charms, just create your own! For a lot less $$$. Isn't that what charms are supposed to be, totally personal, not just bought from the same brand to coordinate with the bag? Jane Birkin didn't cover her bag with items from Hermes - they were all little personal fobs that she collected. Go to a hardware or hobby store! Am I missing something here?

No, you're not. I'm planning to get an "authentic" Eiffel tower charm from a tourist trap the next time I'm in Paris.

I also found some interesting keys on Amazon that I'm tinkering with, and have a trip to a "trimmings" shop planned soon.

That said I do have a nice collection of Petit H and Moynat charms, and also Twillys, which are definitely more $ but are nicely crafted things that I wouldn't come up with on my own. It's nice to have options and a mix.

I personally like to match my looks all from one brand nowadays, so I want the charms from the same brand, too. With Balenciaga's pre-made charm clusters, there are pieces I like from them, and pieces I don't. If I could customize them, then I can choose the colour theme of the charms, too.

Any one know if the grey is a darker or lighter grey? The website’s pictures look light for some and darker for others.
The black is stunning but boy do I have so many black bags already tho! Or do I just stick with what works (black)
Decisions!

Black for Balenciaga. Matches their aesthetic the most in my opinion.

I tried it on in Medium, coincidentally in all black and with my black Besace on...

It read like a dark charcoal in their store lighting, but probably shifts under more direct natural light, imo.

I’m currently in Vegas and have felt up every Rodeo they have. I feel a difference in softness with the leathers. The minis are not as soft as the mediums. Maybe it’s also floor model vs a brand-new out of the box bag difference, but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this.

Definitely. I think it's just that the smaller form factor means less area to "smoosh."

I've had this experience with other bags - for example Moynat Gaby BB stiffer than MM in same exact leather.
