Just ordered my double zip tote in night sky from the Copley boutique in Boston sight unseen. It was just too good of a deal to pass up. Can anyone tell me if this color is darker in person than it appeared on the website? I've been looking for a navy bag that I like so fingers crossed i like this color in person!

Hi, I can't comment on color, but I ordered from the website. I will be heading over to the Copley store to see what else they have because of everything I have read about the strap ripping the bag
. I also need a navy bag, so I am hoping they have a few nice things left .I think the midnight sky should be a great color though!

Hi there.... I went to the store today and saw it in person. I'm not sure if you picked yours up yet or not, but I would say it's a bit lighter than the website color but it's a really pretty color. I think you will like it

The color is beautiful. It's a "brighter navy blue" shade. Definitely not a dark navy blue. I think you will really like it when you see it in person. I got a Robinson Middy in the same color.
I got a black Robinson tote yesterday - my first TB bag, though I have tons of shoes/clothes/other accessories from her line.
I typically purchase the lower to mid-range designer bags for big totes that I want to put my laptop in. My most recent one before this was the Michael Kors Hamilton bag - a week ago in the airport, the big strap ripped right off. Total disaster (long story short, I had to take the bag back to the states to get it repaired; I'm in Canada and purchased it there). After much coaxing, they agreed to replace it but will be mailing the bag to me.
I needed a black bag and I've been looking at the Robinson for some time in black. It fits my MacBook 13" perfectly, and I especially liked the longer strap. I think the finish is really nice and I'm happy the bag is saffiano leather (hope that holds up better than my MK!). I took a long time to buy it only because it's SO similar to the Prada tote that's been mentioned in this thread, but obviously the price point on this bag is way better. I don't think I'd stuff my computer into a $2000 bag anyway.
My mom got the light blue one with silver hardware on sale, too. We're both happy with them, but I'm sure I'll be using mine a lot more than she will. I am a bit concerned about the strap from this thread, though. Hope that's not an issue.

I got one as Xmas gift this year. I love it thus far. Seems practical and I plan to take it to work. I am a little worried about the strap after reading all the reviews. I love wearing it on the shoulder. If I don't put a lot of things insider my bag, do u think the strap will still ripped!!?? Anyhow I do love this bag. 
I have one in luggage and I wear the strap all the time, so far it has not broken. If anything they can be restitched right?

I've used the strap twice so far, and I have to say: it's a pretty flawed design. The fabric around the inside, where the strap is connected, is already puffing up.
I don't understand why the strap is attached there, vs more to the side onto the actual structure of the bag. It's basically attached to loose fabric, more or less, because it's attached to the back of a compartment. It's almost like the strap is there "as an option" that you aren't really supposed to use.

I have had mine for a few years and never had a problem w/ the strap*knocks on wood* but the leather on the handle wore off a bit. I think Tory burch products are lacking in quality for the most part.

The shoulder strap design is honestly a deal breaker for me. I have the Amanda double zip tote and cannot stand to carry it with the shoulder strap attached, just puts way too much strain on the leather interior.... And looks horrendous too with the lining being pulled inside out.
