This is my quote from VIP for surgery with Dr Lee:
  • 100% rib cartilage rhinoplasty: US$11,000 + Revision Cost US$2,000
Ouch! Not sure what Revision cost of US$2,000 for. I didn't ask because it is already way out of my budget.

Wow that’s pretty high, how do you think of his work though ? I’m going for consultation next month with him

I had rib placed in my tip nine days ago, how long does it take for your smile to return to normal?
I feel strange smiling as my top teeth don't fully show anymore as its restricted and it also feels like a piece of wood has been placed in the middle of my nose as its very stiff.
Also I think the tip is a little high at angles and my nose feels elongated, will it get smaller?
I had a small, slightly upturned nose with a non existent bridge before, maybe I need to get used to it.

Hiya! It's been a couple months and I'm just seeing this thread now. How are your results looking? I've read quite a few times that your nose will look 'exaggerated' (lack of wording right now) especially the first couple months due to swelling and it does get smaller, along with it being too high, it will droop/settle downwards a little bit due to gravity while it heals (anyone correct me if I'm wrong, that's just my grasping and logic of the ordeal)

I agree with you. I think rib rhinoplasty is for more extreme cases and difficult revisions. I had rib removed from my nose and I'm so glad I did. I realize now I never needed it in the first place--it's very invasive, takes longer, and of course, the cost of it pads many doctors pockets.
Can I ask why you say this? I think I've heard this a few times but no one ever says why.

Hi
Why did you had your rib removed from your nose ?
Did you get an implant afterwards ?

It’s way more expensive. The rib cartilage extraction is the expensive part of it. And it’s a 6 hour procedure. I haven’t done it yet. Still trying to decide which one to do and what hospital to go to. How’s your surgery and what hospital you went to.?
Wow! Are I wouldn’t think it would be safe to be put under for that long
