No orange or pink undertones. However I would add that it's a deeper shade of red as opposed to bright red. It's really a nice shade.

I saw this bag last week and wow...it really is a beauty. I had a hard time walking away from it because I've been waiting, years it seems, for a true, deep red, color handbag. I bought something else but haven't moved in it yet...still time for a return. lol
So here's my experience buying this bag...not a pleasant one so far.
Yes, this bag has amazing color, leather is thick and soft, and the chains are beautiful.
But it ends there. The quality and finish is very inconsistent. The first one I got has a large scratch on the pouch part, the pouch is not symmetrical, and has black glue like stuff stuck on several spots. Because it was supposedly 'brand new' and wrapped up in a box in the back of the store, I didn't see it until I got home and unwrapped.
So I went in next day at lunch time to exchange for another one. This time, the SA brought one out from the back, in a large plastic bag. No other protection. not stuffed with tissue paper or wrapped up in any way. And of course, the bag looked crushed.
The chains left sharp little dents on the flap because they were pressed against the leather directly. The pouch has deep wrinkles, the the leather looks lumpy, with bulges and dents. Some parts of the leather looks dull. There are glue on several spots on the body of the bag.
Somehow, the SA convinced me that all this will come out or 'bounce back' if I leave it for a while.
I asked why are the bags not protected or stuffed to avoid getting crushed, the SA said they are busy and don't have time to rip protective layers off when a customer buys a bag. Instead, they rip everything off when the bags get in, to save time!
And of course, after I get in my car and looked at it in real world lighting, this second bag is really unattractive and does not look like a $500+ bag. At ALL.
Unfortunately for the SA, I'm not too thin skinned to be an annoying customer. I'm going there again after work. If they don't have a bag that looks like it's well made, I'm going to return it.
