No. They stick out but not much. They have a slight fold.

The red! I really like this bag. Is the chain strap heavy?

Not really. It's pretty substantial but not too heavy. The leather at the top of each chain sits on your shoulder so you don't have the chain digging in.

Saw this bag irl. Love the color and the pockets. Sadly it was just a little too small for me. I found it amusing when the SA told me I'd be the first to own it since it wasn't coming out until the next floor set. Apparently she isn't on TPF. And the chain strap want bad.
