The sale on right now is final sale. I'm not fond of that myself, but it does force one to make sure they love a bag before they purchase it. It's certainly not like Coach. With MK it's either 21 days to return (10 in Canada!!!) or sometimes final sale.

Congrats on your new bag; I LOVE the colour :). I didn't know MK did real python here.

So, anyone can get the 40% off? How can I tell which are the "collection" bags (when I scope them out online)? or did you mean "collection as a whole"? :)

Yeah I saw an MK at Christmas in Montreal and the whole bag was python!! It was over $2000. It looked soooooooooo delicate!!!

Yep anyone can get 40% off now. I don't think they have signs up, but if you go in they should let you know as you walk in, if not, just ask what the sale is on. It's not on shoes, but on a lot of bags and accessories and clothes. Not all colors, I was looking at another model of bag and the blue one was on sale, but they grey one wasn't. And some are 30% off, some are 40% off - they had a sheet they had to check for specific SKU's.

Oh and you might be interested to know that they told me that the Michael by MK bags will usually be somewhat higher in price here than in the US, but that the collection bags should be on par. I found some discrepancies in this theory though, because I know some of the Michael bags are on par, and I know one of the collection bags is $795 in the US and $895 here.

Clear as mud right? :p

ETA: Collection bags are generally Skorpios, Tonne and Darrington and Gia.

Thanks :)! Of course, it is clear .. LOL! Who knows, maybe now that more and more MK stores are opening up here, they may get the prices better organized :).

ildera, the collection bags usually say they are made in Italy. Maybe they always say that ... I'm not sure.

But I do know the non-collection bags don't cost as much and do not say made in Italy. If that helps any. The non-collection bags are "Michael by Michael Kors" and will more than likely have the logo lining.

That's great - hopefully you also got it for 40% off - please let me know what you think of it when you get it. And do check for the python scales lifting. I think it's inevitable and I have a couple that are, but just make sure it's not too bad. I don't think it's possible to get one where there is no lifting at all - it's just the nature of the bag - but you may as well pick the best of the bunch.

Well I guess we'll see who breaks their ban first. :p I'm moving on to Pandora for now, that's gonna be my new hobby. :graucho:
