I don't like the dark lining in it. They could have used a lighter one that would still compliment it so you could find things in it.

Original Legacy leather scratched easily too. My Legacy Gigi scratches all the time, but I think that's part of the beauty of leather -- just sayin

I think it just comes down to individual taste. Some people feel the wear gives the bag character. Other just see a scratched up bag.

I really like it but understand. I've had some duffle drama of my own. I have the classic reissued duffle but its so big and the lack of pockets makes it not so user friendly.

Oh well, I guess all of the leather on NEW line is like that, very thin and scratches easily. Even the SA said that to me about the new line.
I have been to full price three times to check out the new styles. Great shapes and styles but the leather felt very thin to me so I just ordered something else from the Semi annual sale.

I just got my grommet duffle today and I don't find the leather thin at all. It reminds me of the Legacy 2012 leather - thick and chewy.

No, I don't (yet!) but I have fondled it in person and I think it's similar. I didn't find the leather on Carlyle to be think either. It will definitely be mine soon...just waiting for the right sale.

Sorry, I meant to write that I didn't find the leather on the Carlyle to be THIN. I just noticed my typo. I don't think the Carlyle or new duffle feel thin - they both feel nice and thick and chewy to me.

I love the old style duffle. My sister just bought a vintage one and I am thinking on doing the same.
