It has the typical MK interior; pockets on both sides, a key leash, and a great exterior back pocket that will hold my iPhone 6+. Here are a few photos; I hope this helps. (I can get a regular size iPad inside, but it's kind of iffy.)

It is soft-sided, so if you don't stuff it then it doesn't seem wide at all if that makes sense. Yes, there is a shoulder strap and the bag has little D-rings to attach the strap, as you can see in my pics.
