I remove hanging things from other brands but usually keep the Coach hangtags. I removed them from a Poppy because it was too much bling. I was able to sell my MK hangtag.

I didn't realize MK hangtags fetched a price. Ever since a tPF member posted that she sees "mmm k" when she sees ones, now that's all I can see, LOL. Not that I was fond of them in the first place. They're just too much.

I not a fob person but I do leave my Coach hangtags on. However, a Coach bag on ebay without one is not a dealbreaker for me if the price is right and I want the bag badly enough. I'm actually considering selling the round brass Coach fob from a Thompson bag that I have. I have seen them sell for at least $40 on ebay.

I don't have any Poppy bags but I did notice some of the styles had 3 tags. I like when the hangtag matches the leather or the hardware exactly. I could never understand Poppy's hangtag system. LOL

I did keep one of the MK metal fobs; which I found whilst looking for the Coach tags for this bag. I would never part with my Coach bag but I would happily part with my MK. It's white and I only get to use it three months out of the year.

That was smart, whateve. MK hangtags sell for big bucks!

I got $30 for the MK tag. The purse cost $200 on sale, so it was like getting an additional 15% discount on the bag. You aren't supposed to be able to sell hangtags on ebay, but this one looked just like the fobs they sell separately so it was okay to sell. Here are pictures of the MK fob and the Poppy bling.

Well, I really love the metal tag with the horse and carriage, as seen on my small Op Art Madeline.

Oh, yeah. And it's quite a substantial piece of metal on a very thick piece of leather. What were they thinking? But, to me, the Coach hang tags are so iconic; I won't even bid on one on eBay if it doesn't have it. But, chacun à son gout, as they say (which roughly translates, I believe, as "if you have gout, you probably don't care about handbags that much, anyway," or something like that).

:laugh::laugh:

I passed on a gorgeous Berry Alexandra from a few years ago (I actually encountered the bag for the first time here on TPF) because the person who had it yanked all the tags off and were still trying to sell it for a higher price. To me, that's damaged goods.
