I did something I thought I would never do. I went through my closet and sold all my bags (save 3 that weren't even Coach). For the first time there is so much drool worthy goodness that came out for the Spring I knew I wanted something and was willing to go "all in" for it. I was scrolling around trying to make a decision when something caught my eye...the 1941 Duffle Re-issues!! I wasn't even aware they were available on the website!! Coach keeps sending me emails about the saddle bags and the Rogue and the Outlaw, but never anything about the duffles. I looooovvveeee the duffle silhouette. I remember my mom carrying an original one when I was little. I immediately purchased the black/oxblood one (ironically it as the cheapest of my options). They are lined with the buttery leather like the saddle bags and nomads and have the re-issue storypatch like the saddlebags telling the story of the duffle with a little picture of what the original duffle looked like. They also come with the dual hangtags with one saying black. I think what I like most about this bag is the fact that the hangtag is the only outside name branding. The bottom even has the "genuine glovetanned leather" stamped on it. The leather feels nice and thick (even the strap) and I can't wait for it to soften up and get a good slouch! My husband likes it because it is black on the outside and deep red inside...like a black widow :laugh:

I just saw these duffles on the website a few days ago. Love all the colors. Yikes! These are gorgeous! Congrats. Love the tab for the key ring. I must get one.

After carrying this bag for 2 weeks straight, it truly is a workhorse. It has broken in nicely and there is no wear to to the leather or hardware. My mom had an original one (I remember her carrying it as a kid) and she was even impressed by it and said it really reminded her of the original one. This bag has even been trampled on my my Lab in the passenger seat with no negative effect on it. At first I was upset, then I thanked her for helping to break it in.

I bought this bag in fog and returned it on Sunday. I didn't Iike the contrasting piping or edge paint on it. The edge paint was not neat, but sloppy. I liked the leather but just wish that Coach stuck with the original design.

Is the hardware plastic ?

I got mines last Friday and when I showed it to the store manager she said that was stitching but that wasn't stitching. That is a cut in the leather and the coach store wasn't able to order me another purse to replace this one. Unfortunately.
