Also fell in love with this, based on OP! So thank you for posting this bag - and so sorry it didn't work out for you. I purchased the steel blue (so I won't post another pic of it), and also the oxblood. I prefer the deep browner tone, vs the burgundy/red. I was surprised this is called oxblood, rather than cognac or dark brown. Not a good pic, but color is very rich - especially with the lining. The pouch makes the trim black - a great contrast.View attachment 3694801View attachment 3694803
I am wondering if it wouldn't be much of a problem if you use the pouch for all smaller items and only put larger items in the main part of the bag.Hi - have you tried carrying the bag yet with your things inside? I know the OP had some issues with the items sliding toward and under the middle pouch. Are you experiencing the same issues? Also, where are you keeping your phone? I love the look of this bag so much but I have never carried a bag without the typical inside slip and zip pockets. Thanks!!

I can see how they look similar in shape because both have that hobo shape. I think they are selling it like you are getting two bags for the price of one, since the removable pouch can be carried on its own. As a hobo user, I would never use a long strap so the fact that the Edie has one doesn't make a difference to me. They might look similar but they must be different enough for me to immediately think of Reed Krakoff bags when I see the Bandit, and I never had that association with Edie. I've never glanced twice at Edie.I'm excited to read more about it, but I think it seems like a 1941/more expensive version of the Edie? An the Edie comes with a strap!

Would be nice to hear if anyone has both and how they are different, or to justify the price difference.
The Bandit is a totally different bag than the Edie. True, it doesn't have a strap, but a strap isn't needed with a Hobo. Also, there's the gorgeous pouch inside the Bandit which holds a lot. However, I think that the leather on the Bandit is much richer and more lush than the Edie's; the leather alone is worth the additional price.I'm excited to read more about it, but I think it seems like a 1941/more expensive version of the Edie? Oh the leather looks amazing!! Congrats!!
Sorry for late response, I've been out of touch a few days. Yes, I have carried. The inside pouch is HUGE. Like another purse. I easily put my slim wallet, card case, pouch, glass case - even my iPhone 6+ (which is the larger one). I only had my cosmetic bag in the main section - and it didn't slide under the "pouch" - not enough room too. It was extremely comfortable, and not heavy at all - I normally carry the regular size Rogue - and there's no comparison - Bandit is so much lighter, and conforms to your body. It's huge - lots of room for an iPad and a book/magazine.Hi - have you tried carrying the bag yet with your things inside? I can't decide if I should get the dark denim or the oxblood. Is the dark denim more casual looking with outfits compared to the oxblood one? Tough decision! Also fell in love with this, based on OP!
