I wonder whether you might like the bag with an organizer like the Samorga? I know others use them successfully with Neverfulls, Speedys, etc. to avoid the "black hole" effect.

What a disappointment!Good morning,
Yes, it did change how I felt about it. So much so, I regret to say I returned it. I dont carry a lot but don't mind a big bag if its organized, i.e. the Rogue. In my experience, once I put everything in the bag & carried, everything shifted to the middle, under the pouch, which I had put my cosmetics, etc in. I found myself digging for things.
To your question, Whateve, its just one big open bag. I know it doesnt have any interior slip pockets, but it must have at least an interior zip on the sidewall, although I cant say for sure.
I LOVED this bag, the color, the leather, etc. So much so that when I noticed this issue, I tried everything to make it work (using a bag organizer while keeping the pouch in & out). But, to adequately use a handbag insert, I felt you needed to take the pouch out, which also removes the exterior side flaps, which then exposes the snaps where the pouch snaps to (there are no attachment points inside the bag, only one snap on each exterior side).
As I originally said, the leather & quality of this bag are top notch. But I knew it would just not work for me. While the removable pouch is quite a cool option, I think I would have preferred it be permanently attached.
But, as Wnterfell said, different strokes for different folks.I'm just sharing my experience. Hope it helps.
I did try one of my organizers. Didn't work well when I kept the pouch in & when you take the pouch out, the exterior side straps come out with it. This exposes the sides if the bag & the snaps where the insert attaches. Trust me, I tried!I wonder whether you might like the bag with an organizer like the Samorga? From what I'm hearing from @Teagaggle, it sound like they should have added buttons to the bottom of the bag to secure the pouch down. If they placed them properly around the bottom edges of the removable pouch, then that may have prevented items from slipping underneath.
However, the design will definitely work well for those who choose to store smaller items in the middle pouch and stick their books, papers, tablet, etc. on the sides of it.
I think the Bandit does really need pockets like the Market Tote/Gotham Tote on one side. There isn't any Coach 1941 branding on the core body of the Bandit, either. Once you remove the pouch, it ceases to be a Coach bag. May be hard for some to resell after they decide to move on.
I have my fingers crossed for a larger version next season. It's a great design, but it's about 85% of the way to being a perfect bag!
Many, many thanks to our friend @Teagaggle for being patient enough to give us the breakdown on this new style
Thank you for your valiant effort. If this proves to be a deal-breaker for too many, Coach will have to do something about it. Hopefully they will get on the right track sooner than later. I do love the concept at least. You did the right thing in returning it- not much point in spending so much money on a bag that does not work for you and make your life happier.I did try one of my organizers. So gorgeous!!Greetings! My new love...Bandit hobo in Steele Blue. I saw the style online @ another store awhile back but quickly dismissed it as it appeared to have a single strap & I like easy access to the inside of my bag without having to take off my shoulder. My SA got these in today & sent me some photos. Double handles, magnet (not snap) closure, suede lining (oxblood in this one, which I know is a surprise color combo but I love it), leather inside pouch which is removable & can be carried with its own strap..c'mon, this bag design took real thought but yet is simple & classic. I dare say that it may be my new favorite style. Its light but supple & stays structured when the pouch is in.
Anyway, just some quick snaps outside before the light disappeared! Any questions, let me know!

Congrats on this Stunning bag! Love the color too!View attachment 3694331 Based on this post I went and got the denim! I love it!! The leather is so smushy and it is so comfy to carry. The pouch inside is saddle.
Love this color! I was deciding between this, denim, and black (loved the floral print pouch)Also fell in love with this, based on OP! So thank you for posting this bag - and so sorry it didn't work out for you. I purchased the steel blue (so I won't post another pic of it), and also the oxblood. I prefer the deep browner tone, vs the burgundy/red. I was surprised this is called oxblood, rather than cognac or dark brown. Not a good pic, but color is very rich - especially with the lining. The pouch makes the trim black - a great contrast.View attachment 3694801View attachment 3694803
