Thanks everyone...the poor darling's ambulance ride, from the Cape to Boston, was 9K! And she has health insurance!!!
YUP...fingers crossed for a windfall!
Prayers will help, too!

This is a great story. Will the funds be going to her palliative care? I hope y'all raise lots!
To be honest with you, Dr Dior...I haven't asked a lot of questions. I have a good friend that works at our PO who keeps me up to speed. I just listen. I'm sure the funds will be used in the best way possible. As you can imagine, everyone is very emotional right now.
We have a wonderful, supportive community...everyone pitches in. The beauty of living in Small Town, USA!

Love this story, dear! Prayers for this poor woman.
Thanks, darling T!

I'm on a roll!
If anyone is familar with Cape Cod, I'm sure you've driven on The Old King's Highway (6A). It used to be the main road connecting all the little towns, across the Cape, before the highway. Alot of gorgeous little stores along the way. I'm on the OKH board, in my district, and we try very hard to keep the standards high and authentic.
Anyway...enough of history. My girlfriend owns a fabulous interior design shop right on 6A. Very chi-chi...pillows cost $300.-$500. You get my point. She donated the most gorgeous Cape Cod lighted Christmas tree. About 3' high loaded with all kinds of sea shells. A star fish adorns the top. So unique...wish I had of taken a pic of it.
I think this fundraiser is going to be very successful! They have sold over 400 tickets.
Keep sending prayers........................

It's wonderful to hear of people who are willing to pitch in and help out when help is needed, especially a business operation like Roberto Coin. It sounds like your benefit will be a great success, thanks to many caring people (as well as you!)

This is such a lovely story and I keep checking back.

So very generous of you to donate anonymously, and so very kind of the shop to give a gift card to raise funds for this poor woman. My prayers go out to her and her family, as the diagnosis must be overwhelming. I hope that the fundraiser brings in a generous sum.

I love the small town mentality of helping your fellow community members when they are in need. The shared love and outpouring from the community gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling. The world is not so dark a place if we start to look for the positive experiences.
