Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

FASHIONPHILE holding onto that much inventory is a liability for them. There is so much marked up Chanel product on their site. Even cardholders. I hope they reduce their prices to below retail soon so they can offload that inventory. I’m sure we would all be willing to purchase from them if we didn’t feel like we were being taken advantage of. I remember when their prices used to be so competitive. Half of my chanel collection used to be from that site! Remember the frenzy of all the shoppers trying to nab a good deal?! I miss those days.

Imagine what their vault is like? Resale markets are slow. So they must be sitting on a lot of money at this point. Security must be insane. Never mind hearing the news about all these break-ins and robberies at the LV or Chanel, we'll hear about it in these places next.

Exactly! I’m sure they have intense security but wouldn’t it be more effective if they started offloading some of this inventory? I’m happy to take a few pieces off their hands :P

They often post videos of their inventory on tiktok and they have a huge warehouse. They have a ridiculous collection of Birkins.

I totally miss those days! You could always find a good deal on FP but definitely not some much now. Even their payout was higher.
I’d definitely be waiting for a “summer blowout sale”

Oohh yes! I didn’t know there was a blowout sale- thanks for the heads up. I’m definitely keeping my eye peeled! I miss those days where you could see the countdown to when the next discount cut comes for an item!
I wonder how much longer they will remain stubborn on their high pricing :confused1:

I don’t see them coming off their ridiculous prices as long as items sell. I know the general masses aren’t buying at $2000-$3000 over retail but some of these “unicorn” colors (any shade of pink, caramel, greys) are getting purchased. Not just from FP but also from these other IG resellers. It’s crazy. The pics above of all the Hermes bags just blows my mind. How great would it be if those just sat there unsold for years? A gal can dream lol.

Someone bought the Black Heart Clutch on Chain for $8495 USD on Fashionphile (before taxes)! It’s retail is $3400 USD. I’m shocked someone paid that high of a premium for only the small bag

Sad to say that it doesn't shock me one bit. I often see things disappear off Fashionphile and other IG reseller sites for $1500-$4000 over retail. Goes to show that when someone really wants something or FOMO takes over cost no longer is a barrier. Someone will always pay the amount asked so there is no future state where resellers don't exist. They are enabled and supported by consumers who absolutely HAVE to have something.
