Probably they have a lifestyle to wear them allAgree. What does one do with $1MM/season worth of stuff especially with so many seasons a year. Just hoard it all or sell?

I haven't checked this thread in a while, and just read through the most recent few pages... I was kind of assuming that the VIPs wouldn't apply to the 1 bag per month limit (including resellers).
But do you guys feel like the 22c thread is in fact updating a bit slower than the previous collections? I remember not reading for like 3 days in the previous seasons and would have 10 pages to catch up lol. Which makes me wonder if a lot of those members were resellers, and this final price increase has finally driven SOME of them out of the game now. Thoughts?
(*not denying the fact that multiple price increases in the same year is just ridiculous and excessive of course)

I think people are reducing buying given the ridiculous prices now.
but never know once there is another price increase rumour, people start panic buying
Hi ladies, has anyone heard or been told by SA that their store isn’t taking any reserve on slgs anymore? Only bags and rtw? And even so it’ll be not guaranteed more of a wishlist because of too much demand and leaks online? I was so shocked as i have 22p and 22s lined up and actually skipped this season for those seasons.
I spoke to one of my SA’s who has worked in luxury retail a long time is very versed with Chanel rules and is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. I told her what’s been said about TPF’s audience’s thoughts on reseller’s being VIP’s. She said no resellers would ever be considered a VIP even if they drop $1 million a year on bags.
Chanel knows VIP’s are not resellers because those clients purchase bags, RTW, fine jewelry, and everything in between. The resellers basically only purchase bags, that is the big distinction. Do some of these VIP’s sell their items at some point? I’m sure they do, but with that kind of money they likely don’t have the time to be bothered, and probably have a vast collection of everything in their wardrobe and hold on to many things as they have use for them.
Chanel has recently banned 2,000 clients and let go of many SA’s recently for selling more than the allowed limits. Once a client is banned no one has seen Chanel undo those accounts. They are cross referencing accounts even when you have multiple accounts under the same name, address, phone number, etc. They’re cracking down. I was at Chanel last week and I overheard a few SA’s talking about a client who has family members come in for them, and use multiple names to purchase bags. They seem to have an idea or know who the resellers are. Having worked in luxury retail,
I’m sure there are signs that flag SA’s when you’re buying to resell. Maybe not always, but there are patterns that stand out.
They are affiliated with Neiman Marcus so I think they actually get stock from them, but I could be wrong. Or people sell really hot items to FP because they can generate well over what was originally paid, including tax. It’s only for very specific items, however,
I do not know how that’s possible. I’ve been on multiple lists for the same bag, and when I was offered more than one, I wanted to transfer the bag to a friend who wanted the bag too, and they wouldn’t allow it. I was told by multiple stores only the person who can purchase the bag is the person on the reservation list. Maybe prior to two years ago this was allowed, and it sounds like Chanel caught up with what resellers were doing.
Hi thank you for sharing this information.. i however have encountered some resellers who buys rtw for their clients too or because the SA told them they have to buy. This was what one reseller said when i asked when she was still small and shares experiences. This reseller in australia gets gifts, invited to launches have like an envelope letter written in script with their name on it which really bothers me personally co australia has such limits stocks and has a few stores and resellers have the stocks right away and is being treated as “VIP”
May i kindly ask if US has changed their policy on reservations? My SA in a stand alone boutique has suddenly messaged me management now changed the policy to no reservation on slg only bags and rtw but it is still
No guarantees.. SA said i am however is in his wishlist which i feel is as good as nothing. When i asked though if my 22p n 22s reserves gets to be affectionate, SA said most probably not. But i am just wondering, could it be because i have purchased 3 slg’s last 21k as supposed to 2. But the same SA was the one who processed it all as i only buy from this particular SA only. I don’t know if the SA got in trouble and my profile was affected? It was the only time though, coz 21k i love all the iridescents.
I have seen some resellers on Instagram posting gifts that they get during holidays. Aren’t gifts given to vips only?
Resellers become VIP is because they’re always shopping so much to sell and for selling to their clients
Maybe she can get away with it because she personally purchases a lot for herself as well? It sounds like she may be an outlier.
There’s also a big difference between personal shoppers and resellers, although it can be hard to distinguish.
That part I’m not sure about. I feel like every store is different in regards to reservations. Many people here are saying reservations are now limited, which doesn’t surprise me. I’ve personally not been affected by reservations but I’m also that person that stalks TPF and online and get on lists long before most people do and I’ve also never had more than one type of bag on reserve at one time. Prior to the current changes I would put myself on multiple lists across several stores to ensure a bag, and it sounds like that isn’t possible anymore.
My SA also told me that when you don’t have a strong relationship or purchase history with a trusted SA and pass on a reservation, you will often not be put on the reservation list again even if they tell you you’re on it. That part I think is ridiculous because often times with seasonal bags, you can’t tell for sure what they’re going to look like until they arrive in stores. But then again I’m sure there are people who get on multiple lists for multiple bags only to not be serious about purchasing.

Stores operate differently. I’ve been on reserve for a 22P bag for months now and I haven’t been affected. I was also on the list for 22C and was contacted immediately when my bag arrived. I don’t know if things will differ moving forward. I also have many SA’s, not just one. And the one SA who gives me thorough, detailed info hasn’t told me this.
