REQUIRED PICS for Balenciaga Authentication

WHAT WE NEED TO GIVE YOU THE MOST ACCURATE AUTHENTICATION OPINION:

Large and clear pictures of:

• Front and back of the bag

• Bale (curved metal hardware that attaches the strap to the bag)
  
  
  
  
  
• Rivet (round metal stud on the back of the handle with usually 2 notches in it unless it's an earlier model)

Wallets and SLG's should show as much detail as possible. We need to see the heatstamp inside.

In general, we need as many detailed pictures as possible. When reposting pics, please include the auction link.

We cannot authenticate if photos are:

• blurry
• dark
• tiny

Tips for taking good photos:

• do not use flash or zoom
• use MACRO setting (indicated by flower on digital cameras)
• use natural light if possible
• use a steady hand

Please do not ask us to give details on why we think something is fake. This is an open forum and we aren’t here to help counterfeiters make better fakes.

All authenticators here are volunteers who try to reply to all posts, but the Balenciaga forum is popular and can get quite busy. Also, in the case of some vintage bags, no one may be familiar with the item and able provide an authentication opinion.
