Report Mulberry Fakes

People may say it’s sad, I don’t, but if I see a fake I’ll report it. If I can’t sleep, which is often, I’m always looking for a mulberry bargain. During those ‘hunts’ I report fakes. There’s still far too many.
I do the exact same thing! That’s why a Bayswater, a Bayswater WOC and a wallet are in the mail with my name on…. Sleepless week

This one has baffled me, blatantly fake, £575(!), covered by the Authenticity Guarantee? Presumably when the authenticators get it, they’ll burn it?

Now reduced to £457, presumably to avoid authenticators … reported.

I had to request to see the disc 🙄 reported. I’ve suggested they upload it to the listing. I can’t seem to put a link in. 🤷‍♀️

Merry Christmas everyone.

I was almost chuffed to see an Edna with its chain for once as well…

The cheeky seller has included picture of a similar bag to make it look as though this one has been authenticated

Item: mulberry black leather lily stud handbag

Really Ebay? Why don’t they recognize an obviously fake bag right away when even is pointed out to them why it’s fake? Btw the serial number comes up in a purse forum post of 2011 (question about authenticity) while the seller states this bag is from 2012/2013.

Same thing happened to me the other day. Obvious fake but they wouldn’t have it 😡

I've had the same on other bags I've reported, and it makes me wonder how reliable their authentication service is.....although I understand it is done independently. I haven't used that myself but I know others who have and have been happy with the process.

Yeah, absolutely agree, I think the authenticators & reports are separate, but it still doesn’t give you much faith in purchasing from eBay. I’ve all but given up on reporting fakes, they rarely take them down anymore and looking at them just trains the algorithm to show me more fakes :-/

Well this should be interesting.
Broke my own rules and bought a Mulberry Dorset from VC, £140. As always saw something else so did an immediate relist as it’s 0% commission. I’m very impatient so you’ll get a bargain from me and I let it go for £100. Buyer also did direct shipping and guess what….they are saying it’s non compliant ie fake. I didn’t realise that at first and tbh had sellers regret so did the online chat and said I’d have the bag back/returned no worries. However they’d already sent her a label to send it to their hub. So on the chat I reminded the advisor I had bought the bag FROM them, and when you do an immediate relist you relist the original description and photos. Whilst I said before I recommend direct shipping they do state quite clearly that they do an ‘authenticity’ check before listing 🙄 (yea, right) ‘Every listing submitted to Vestiaire Collective is checked for accuracy, and certain high-risk brands are also checked for authenticity, before being published on the platform.’. So, this will be a test to see if:
1) I have no rights as did not raise an issue upon receipt…despite it subsequently being found to be fake
2) will confirm what I already believe but chose to ignore…you must avoid Direct Shipping. It’s no better than EBay or Vinted.

I paid with PayPal so I might be able to go down that route, but for now I’m waiting for their answer and I will update you all. Sorry this is long and I hope you think it’s worth me posting it 🤞. Sam
