hey guys,

i just purchased a Cherry Cles for my mom for christmas off of eBay. its brand new but it doesnt have box or dust bag.

would a sales associate give me either of those for free if i bought something like a pochette (which i plan to buy) at an LV boutique? we don't have a LV boutique near where i live so i asked lv.com and they said that they can't give me either because they are "pre-packaged at the warehouse." if you think a SA would give me one though i might wait to purchase the pochette i want the next time i'm at an LV store...

I've bought two items from my local LV store and I've never gotten a box for my purchase.. I think I'll go back to the store, now that I read some other posts here and ask for a free one. Souldn't that some with the bag or should you have to ask to get it wrapped?

It depends on the SA moods, LOL. I've never tried but you can ask and try to be extra sweet. Good luck!

Ohh, if the extra sweetness doesn't work, still buy the pochette- use the box to put your mom purse, give it to her and once she opens it, take back the box... that's what i do:D

I've asked for one after buying something abroad and only receiving a dustbag, even though I was buying something I belive I would have been given one regardless.

I think it depends on which SA you're working with. I have one that I work with frequently and she know how I like to receive my LV goods. I always want it in a dust bag and it will come wrapped in a box. But since you didn't buy the cles from the store, I am not sure if they'll give you one for free.

Unless you have a really good personal relationship with an SA at LV, I really do not think there is any way they will give you a box and dustbag for an item purchased on ebay.....sorry :(

yes it all depends on SA. when i went to cali to check out the store i noticed the SAs were snobby and all that. but here in texas is different. they're warm and friendly and they will wrap you purchase in a "very special way." (box, tissues, LV stickers and a sometimes a note card for special events like mother's day)

I would be surprised if they give you a dustbag or box they may think your trying to sell a fake but using geniune wrappings? I misplaced a dustbag when I moved house I use one off an cheaper bag to protect the LV now and have wondered if they even would sell me one but I'd be afraid to ask in case of refusal and as there is only one LV in my country I can't risk not being able to show my face.

yeah i'm sure. which is why i wouldn't be mentioning eBay. my plan was to go with something like "i have a cles which i wanted to store but i threw out the dust bag and box..."

they cant judge me too hard if they found out i did buy it on eBay though, cause it is discontinued after all!! where else was i suppose to get it? :)
