I picked up 5 older/vintage bags over the last few months at Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and one on eBay. Thank you to DemRam and Hyacinth, and all the lovely TPF authentication ladies, for identifying and authenticating these bags.
All of the bags were in pretty good shape. There were no tears or bad smells and they all had their original hangtags. They were just dusty, dirty, dull, and scuffed. Basically, all I had to do was give each of them a bath, treat them with leather conditioner, and polish up the brasses a bit. It was easy!
I didn't have time to work on rehabing them until recently so I will post the before and after pics for all of them in this thread.
The cool thing is that I only spent a total of $80 (and a little elbow grease) and I now have 5 lovely vintage bags in 5 different styles and 4 different colors (black, gray, navy, and brown).
Here is an "after pic" of the entire group - let me apologize for my mediocre photographic skills.
