Really excited to see this thread!!

I have a lot of love for 00s MJ bags. I started collecting in 2019, then collected around 10 over the next few years. I think all of these are from The RealReal and since they were around $100 or less, I have not verified authenticity. I’ve prioritized collecting styles and colors that I liked, documented on the Purse Forum, and also are lined in leather or suede. Based on the quality of materials and the now low price point I’m not overly concerned about verifying that every piece is authentic because they feel high quality.

Right now I’m working on a project to clean and condition all my MJ bags, so I’ll post them as I get through them.

Today’s: Marc Jacobs Sofia in Washed Rose (?)
Not 100% sure on color name
Lined in suede

I love it that! I’m also going through that phase of getting my old MJ back from the closet, cleaning, conditioning and trying to repair the edges when needed. They have so much life left and the leather is very durable.
My only issue is with a metallic glittery Venetia gold bag that I can’t really help. I can’t find a correct color or product to mimic the shimmery aspect.
I am also work on my older Miu Miu.

If it lined in burgundy suede, it is Washed Rose from 2004. So pretty, congrats!

Yeah, that’s why I wanted to take a picture with natural sunlight, these bags truly have gorgeous leather. Especially freshly conditioned, they are very buttery soft. I have another bag in this washed rose color, definitely a favorite of mine, and so easy to style with denim, black, or other neutrals.

Also yesterday I found an old old old thread on TPF with a link to a webpage with recovered info on ways to look into authenticity (probably someone here posted it, you all seem to know so much). I checked all my bags for zippers and branding marks etc, I didn’t come up with any issues so far but I’ll let you know as I post bags if there any I’m questioning.

This was a HG of mine a long time ago
I found one, loved it but then sold it when I took an interest in Celine

Its one of the bags I always wished I'd kept because they're so rare
I couldn't believe my luck when I found one on TRR over the weekend!!

From Resort 2005, this is a Putty Stam with that gorgeous blue suede lining!!

This looks like Pomegranate to me. It is a great color! You’ve acquired some real gems, no doubt.
Fantastic, I will look into the color Pomegranate - thanks for the tip on that.

The MJ reference library isn’t really working for me, so many of the images don’t show up. I was thinking ok, it’s probably not barn red, I have a bag in cherry tart, it’s definitely not that, but I didn’t think it fit with Bordeaux, so I’m glad that you came up with another possibility! Thank you!!
