The reason that this product looks familiar is because, surprise, surprise, Red Carpet Manicure is owned by Nail Tech Supply. So I guess if you like Gelish there is another store carrying it. That is why the bottles and the light are so similar.

Ahhhh makes sense! I wonder if the base and top coat from the gelish would work since I guess it's probably the same product.

I think a lot of the Gellish nail professionals working in salons etc became very upset and angry at the Gelish/ Nail Tech Supply company higher-ups when Sallys began carrying gellish products a) because it would potentially become available to untrained non-professionals and b) cos a lot viewed gellish as a high end product that should be sold in a higher-end shop than sallys (BTW -- this is from what I've read, not my own opinion!!)

Therefore, bearing in mind the resistance from (a lot of) the salon nail technicians to gellish being more readily available for regular consumers, it makes total business sense for the company to market a 'new product' that avoids that kind of problem.

Where did you find that out from? I had looked but couldn't find any information.

Look what my Ulta put out today! :-).

They didn't get any of the lights in though. Good thing I already have one lol.

Unfortunately I think I am out of swatch sticks until my new order gets here. I'll have to look and see if I have any at the bottom of that drawer. Lol. If not I guess I can swatch on white wheels as a temporary fix lol

If the colors aren't really that different and they are the small bottles, I wonder if these are really worth getting? The only thing I may look into is the Structure which, in the picture, appears to be in a normal nail polish bottle with the brush...

I dragged my kids into Ulta with me this afternoon (school doesn't start until after Labor Day), not only was there no Red Carpet Manicure display set up, none of the THREE employees I stopped to ask had any idea what I was talking about and the woman at the cash register said "REALLY! We're going to get UV gel polish? Cool!"

Call me disappointed and frustrated. :tdown:
