Questions to those of you who are more adept and coordinated than I am (which is everyone here lol). This is a long time for me to NOT bump my nails against anything. If I smudge, is there a technique I can use to fix the smudge without completely starting over? Also, I did seal the tips of my fingers as instructed, but like I said, it appeared that the polish was thinner of the top part of my nail. Any tips to make sure the coverage is better at the tip of the nail?

THANK YOU in advance!

I do mine while on the computer..so i also can watch the time and look at my favorite site

Does anyone know how the UV lamp and LED lamp compare safety wise? I currently have a UV lamp and use sunscreen everytime I am doing my nails, but I was wondering if the LED light was any safer? Thanks for your help!!

i was worried about this too..the thing i like about RCM is that only really the tips of your fingers fit in, so not too much damage to your hands

I am not sure why you have a long time when you are concerned about smudging your nails. You should do one hand completely before you do the second. I always do my dominate hand first so I am working with my less adept hand while I am less tired.

You put the base coat on and cure. Once it is cured, it does not smudge. The same for the color and top coats. Curing does leave a tacky layer that might appear to smudge but once you add another coat and cure it is OK. The top coat needs to be cleaned with alcohol to remove the tacky layer. And, of course, once you finish your nails are completely dry, hard and very shinny.

Lint-free pad? I'm getting ready to do my first RCM! I've got everything I need, except I'm not sure what I should use to apply the finishing step. Will a regular tissue work? What about a micro-fiber washcloth I got from Dollar Tree? Your advice is greatly appreciated!!!

The best are Graham's Hands Down Pads, the plastic backing protects your hands/nails http://www.sallybeauty.com/Nail-Cosmetic-Pads/GRAHAM3,default,pd.html?cm_vc=SEARCH

Also good are the HandsDown Wipes which are thin like a paper towel but no lint http://www.sallybeauty.com/nail-wipes/SBS-580420,default,pd.html?cm_vc=SEARCH

AnnAnn99, THANK YOU! I hadn't even considered doing one hand entirely at one time. I just followed the instructions from RCM which indicated that you do one step on all the nails then the next step on all the nails, etc... I think doing my dominant hand first is a great idea! THANKS!

I used my microfiber cloths for quite awhile, but recently bought these and they are fairly lint free and not super thin.

I bought some Red Carpet SOG at my local Fred Meyer's store. I am currently wearing a pink shade they call After Party Playful. I really like it. I applied 2 coats and dolled it up with some Konad stamping. I've had it on for over 2 weeks and it still looks like new. I am still figuring out how to post a picture. when I figure it out, I'll post a picture to show you.

A micro-fiber washcloth from Dollar Tree is exactly what I use and it works great. Plus I can wash it and there is no waste.
