I had the Sac De Jour Baby in
smooth leather and sold it as I felt the smooth leather was too dressy. At the time I had just had kids and it just felt like too much. I went through several years of carrying no purse or just a teeny crossbody for my phone and keys and cards. I now miss the bag and am debating purchasing it again in either the nano or baby size but in
grained leather. I love designer bags but don't like them to be too in the face either--I love the design of the pochette metis but the logos are just too much so I haven't bought one. The Sac De Jour was super comfortable and I think the grained leather (there is grained calfskin and grain du poudre) would be very durable. Personally, I like that it's an easy to get into bag--meaning no flap to undo-- and the top handle option I find makes it feel like a different bag if you want to take it out to dinners. I've grown very fond of bags with a crossbody and top handle as it makes them much more versatile--even better if it has an outer pouch, which again is why I love the pochette metis but find that the logo, while beautiful is off putting which is why I haven't taken the plunge. 95% sure I will repurchase the Sac De Jour. The stores have more variations of the bags than is shown online I believe. Like the souple version (less structured) of the bag with the visible studs last I checked my store had it in a colorway that was not online. Three negatives to the Sac De Jour are the accordion sides which sometimes I feel it makes the bag look odd, the lack of proper closure on top, and the fact that the resale value is not so great so it might be a bag to buy pre-loved. I was pretty bummed when I paid full price for it and sold it 1 or 2 years later in excellent condion for 1/3 of what a paid for it to a reseller.
Just realized I wrote a book on this

,but your post has me interested because I'm also looking for the same thing.
