Receipt question for Coach SA's

That makes sense to me.

I still have the question though of does the "new" receipt show that the first bag was returned with no receipt, or will it just show a "customer changed mind" code or something to that effect?

Nope, you will only recieve the cash difference you paid + store credit since it shows you only paid cash unless you had the old receipt still.

Most department stores have this where they keep credit card numbers on file but for YOUR safety, we don't because many situations happened where the numbers can be stolen easily by dept. store employees. Also Nordstrom has basically no return policy so I wouldn't compare them to any other company because I personally don't know a company other than them who would return used shoes for cash back :shrugs:

Also : Ms. Whitney, anything under 25$ w/ no receipt is a cash refund. This is only because our merch card limit (just like gc) is 25$ so it wouldn't work. I think it took me a few months to figure this out! haha

thanks but i already knew that.

i just rather not mention it because there are shady customers at my store who are NORs which is why my manager changed the return policy to you MUST have a gift reciept or actual reciept.

i know it's not my money, technically, although the CEO's bonus sure as hell wouldn't shrink b/c of it, but i rather not see those who don't deserve it get knowledge like this and get cash back.

for those who do it's a case by case thing.

and sprinkles. while you're saying all this anyways i might as well let the cat out of the bag too.

we do keep customers CC numbers. we can, if the customer pushes hard enough, look on the files and retrieve it through cc OR through the client track as i'm sure you already know.

we don't keep information handy. as far as the CC numbers and transaction it may be only two weeks, but we still can see what you've purchased up to a year. within reason, for emergencies but they aren't suppose to replace your actual reciept!

Don't mean to thread jack, but in another thread we have a question on how someone becomes a PC. Do you ladies know? I am on but have no idea how I got on the list.

Yeah, I definetly know that and i've had many situations in the past week (angry wives w/o husbands cc) where i've had to look them up in EJ. I haven't had a person ask me to look for their old old receipt though because that would be way too time consuming to go through all of the old month end boxes to look for it.

I hate post-holiday returns only because of those situations where people don't understand that you must have the exact card on the receipt and since i'm a manager now i'm the one who gets yelled at, ugh.
