Ya I did not shop lv during 2020 and my ca is gone, as well as the lv store I used to shop at (it was in neiman Marcus and closed). So I now shop on line. I could have it shipped to a different store but it’s a bit of a pain to drive there plus I guess I’d have to make an appointment as they no longer allow you to just walk in store. (Totally disappointing shopping experience now).

lv shopping just isn’t as fun anymore. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else and I hope I don’t have any similar experiences in the future as it may deter me from purchasing at all. I think a video opening delivered packages is prob a good idea.
Though I’m sure they’d like you to make an appointment, the times I’ve had orders sent to the store for pickup, they’ve expedited those visits. Usually there are two lines. Just show your email receipt (and maybe ID). Usually they have the next salesperson assist. I know that doesn’t help with your situation now though!

Ugh, I am so so sorry. That sucks and even more if it was insider theft. I wonder if they have cameras in the warehouse? I hope they make this right for you. I order a lot online and never had an issue. You’d like to hope maybe they were busy with more than usual Mother’s Day orders and it was an oversight and they forgot to put it in the box. You would think though that whomever was boxing would feel that there was no item in the dust pouch…

This totally sucks, @snibor !! horrible !! I can't believe all the things we as loyal customers have had to deal with. I ordered a pair of earrings and one was missing :eek:. Hoping your refund is on the way !! You're right. It's no longer enjoyable ordering. Most of the time I have angst that the UPS driver won't leave it on the front step (like they did last year with my BTP OTG, Watercolor Bumbag and BTP MPA which were all in the same box!) , then angst opening it, hoping it's actually INSIDE, then inspecting it for decent workmanship. Makes me glad I have lots of pieces from better LV manufacture days.

It seems that LV online shopping is very unreliable lately. I do feel a lot of anxiety whenever I place an online order on luxury items lately because of all these horrible reports.

It is kind of sad that we can't enjoy buying nice things anymore because of all these quality issues, packaging errors, delivery problems etc. I have been on the edge more than once in the past few months when I got suspiciously damaged packages, wrong items delivered, deliveries without signature etc. And I video taped some unboxings just to be sure. Luckily everything was fine so far. Fingers crossed.

I am sorry this happened to you and thank you for thinking to let the rest of us know about your alarming experience. Sadly, I too am going to also have my shipments sent exclusively to the store for inspection before taking possession. I have drastically cut back on LV acquisition but still- who wants this kind of experience when we pay these kinds of prices?

Please let us know the outcome.

I don't blame you for being upset. It would leave a bad taste in my mouth too. I saw the wonky bagatelle you received also. That was poor craftsmanship. I just recently purchased a zippy wallet and everything was fine with my order. I hadn't purchased from LV since 2019. After the pandemic, I didn't really see a use for buying any bags/accessories since I was home all day basically. Sorry for the bad luck all around. Hopefully they can resolve this issue for you asap. Does it show the key pouch you purchased is currently in stock? I wonder if they had some issue with availability and there was an error somewhere that no one caught. Service and quality are really lacking nowadays everywhere.

Thanks. It wasn’t an issue of availability because the item had been available for days, including after I ordered. The package was sealed, contained the envelope with receipt, box with ribbon, and nothing inside. I hate to think this was a devious event but it looks that way to me.

It's a dumb move on their part. They would have to think that you as the customer would report that the item wasn't received, and the outside box was not tampered with either. Then it would lead a trail back to the person responsible for packaging the item. But, they probably won't admit to an error on their part.

Omg I'd cry, this is exactly why I hate ordering anything even slightly expensive online. Recording yourself opening the packages is an excellent idea though. I do that any time I order a new phone or basically anything over $100, it's really hard to argue with a video of the customer opening a factory sealed box with no product inside. Yeesh I really hope they get this resolved for you ASAP :/
 
Omg I had a similar thing happen to me this week, I registered to post if anyone had experience similar to mine and am seeing this thread! I definitely understand the frustration. I ordered a Keepall XS in blue aerogram, it wasn't available at my store so it was shipped from another location in the US. Today, I received a package with the box inside but no bag. Mine has clearly been tampered with though (had a clear tape on it and the ribbon inside was taken off). The store I ordered from said they will open a dispute with UPS. Wondering if I should do something else, it's so frustrating to be charged for something you never received!

So disappointing and frustrating! I wonder how the thieves know it's a Louis Vuitton, or if they're just getting lucky.
