Rant! If it's not Like New, don't b***y state it is!

DHL came and picked up the bracelet yesterday. I don't know if this means that Vestiaire have already accepted my return, or that they are going to look it over and then decide. We'll see.

Since I'm not a quitter  I found the same bracelet but in black which I've also been looking for. Again like new but on another site, Videdressing. It's on its way but this website gives you two days to return if you wish to. And this bracelet was only two thirds of the price compared to the one from Vestiaire

You have no reason to be a quitter. There is a principle here. The seller misrepresented the condition of the bracelet & Vestiaire should
step up to the plate & now issue a refund.
Good to hear that you found what you were looking for on another site.

So, Vestiaire e-mailed me saying the bracelet matches the seller's description and they sent the bracelet back to me. Yes, the bracelet is in good condition but it is not like new, worn only once, as promised by the seller. There are two scratches and markings and bending from the buckle. I'll add pics to show you. OK, I'll never buy from Vestiaire again and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do so either.

As I wrote earlier I bought another Double Tour bracelet from Videdressing. This company gives you two whole days to make a request for a return. This is much better customer service. I haven't received this bracelet yet but no matter the condition, I will be able to return it in case the seller has misrepresented the condition like the Vestiaire seller did.

OK, here is the listing. I wonder how long Vestiaire will let my comment stay up :annoyed:

My pics. Yes, I know, this is minor wear for a gently used item and some would say it's nothing. But I don't buy pre-owned gently used bags or slg. I asked the seller if it was like new and looking at the listing she avoided the question by telling me it was only worn maybe twice. The listing says once. My bad, I should have insisted, yes. But she did not tell me about the scratch in the leather or the leather/edge coating starting to loosen on one of the corners. Both clearly visible when looking at the bracelet. She didn't tell me about the markings made from the buckle either. None of these are visible in the seller's photos. There was a big scratch on the inside of the bracelet but I'm not posting a pic of it because it wouldn't have mattered one bit if the rest of the bracelet had been like described.

This is why we annoying buyers ask all of those annoying questions! This is why we sometimes ask them over and over! To make sure. Because if we don't this is what can happen. I'm lucky this wasn't an expensive item. Never buying from Vestiaire again, though :annoyed:

What you are pointing out is really unacceptable.
Now you need to decide what your next step is going to be.
Good luck

Ooops, just noticed I didn't remove the last pic of the inside scratch. It's not really a concern on a 120 EUR. bracelet but together with the rest it just makes it more annoying. I have no idea what to do yet. Vestiaire don't care (that's almost a slogan :amuse: ), obviously. Do you think I should take it to PayPal? I could try and fix the flaws, but I really don't want to. I'm buying new or pre-owned like new to avoid having to rehab things.

I love this pink colour, it's a perfect match to a bag arriving this week. But it's not worth it, and my experience has been that pristine Bal items do pop up regularly and it's better to wait. I don't even know where to begin with PayPal, haven't had to do this before. Luckily I think there are many threads on this here so will start by reading those.

I just made a complaint to PayPal. I hope I did it correctly. As I understood it the complaint first goes to Vestiaire. If Vestiaire continue to claim item is as described, I can escalate it to PayPal before the end of June.

PayPal just sent me an e-mail that I'm to return the Balenciaga bracelet to Vestiaire and I will then receive a full refund.
"After reviewing your case, we've determined that you are eligible for a refund of 140,50 EUR."

Vestiaire didn't even get back to PayPal after I escalated.

Thanks so much to all of you for your advice and support :flowers: :flowers: :flowers:

And just to add, this was a bracelet I would have LOVED to own, had it been as described, like new.
