Well, unfortunately that's the type of people you'll run into on the busses. I try to be as inconspicuous as possible. Does the cuff fit under a coat? Don't let it ruin your day, there are just too many ignorant people out there.

Just ignore them, who cares what they think? I just wear what I like, don't care what other people think. I wear stuff that is a lot more "bling" and flashy than many would wear, and people have called me tacky before but it doesn't matter to me since I just wear my clothes and jewelry for myself. I like being unique and not following the crowd. I get compliments from the vast majority that comment anyway.

Love your cuff and the glove combo, its fierce!! some people have no confidence, are jealous and make themselves feel better by insulting others personal style and confidence...they're totally not worth your time

They are just bored and insecure and looking something to make rude and completely classless comments about. The fact that they would treat other people like that shows how little class these girls have. I know I would be upset too especially wearing something for the first time but just ignore behavior like that. They are probably just jealous. Wear your cuff with pride!

Those are kids, are they not? Tell me they are. I can't believe adults behaving in that manner. It is totally uncalled for. Ignore them. You have style, they have none! :hugs:

And DreamingBeauty - people have actually called you 'tacky' for wearing blings? Duh! I love bling and hey, if I can splurge money on them and wear them, who cares? There are times I like subtle jewelry and times when I say "bring it on, bling bling!" (ahem...sorry, my bling are all costume, i wish i can afford the real thing sometime in the future tho). :smile1:

That cuff is a gorgeous piece of art - it doesn't have to suit everyone's taste for it to be perfectly clear how much time and effort and artisanship have gone into crafting it.

I have a similar problem with my brother's girlfriend - She tells me she just can't understand why I spend more than the bare minimum on anything I wear!

I tell her: I just can't understand how you can be so arrogant to assume your opinion is of any interest to me!

Ignore the ignorant. Don't hide your style and be proud of who you are.

i dont think they were mocking you for having nice jewelry.

sounds more like because you had a large cuff on.

still immature.... but.... thats what people do sometimes. i would ignore it.

I agree with this. We all know you love your cuff, but "nice" to you may not necessarily translate into "nice" to them. Just looking at it, they may not be aware of its value, or how much you spent for it, or how much it's worth, or whether it's trendy or not. They might simply think it looks odd, which could be why they were mocking it. There are many different reactions to statement-type jewelry, and it's not always positive.

That's why you should wear your jewelry for yourself, and not be bothered with how others react. You will never be able to control that, so just ignore it and enjoy your belongings.
