I wish the higher end collection bags were more affordable and I wish the lower end Lauren bags were made better. Somewhere in the middle would be something that I would want to buy. Until then....

I have seen Ralph Lauren in Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and I believe Burlington. YOu can buy them relatively cheap. I know they also have a new line at Kohl's but not sure if they carry handbags?

The Ricky bag is very nice looking and in alligator goes for something like 13K...I will take a Hermes if I was going to spend that kind of $$$

Did anyone else hear that Vera Wang will be doing a line for one of the discount stores in 2007?

I have two RL hobo bags: one in leather and one in nylon that I got on sale. It has held up pretty well, and I like to use them with casual activities like going to the grocery store. So, for the price I paid I think it was worth it.

No, there were around 20 made. No idea who told you there was only one in the world but I know for a fact that's not true. If an associate told you that, then they are misinformed. I work for RL (corporate, not retail) I know this for a fact because the Red Croc was transferred in for a client in Charlotte from the Hamptons location.

I have 15 RL bags (and still collecting) :smile1: that's how much I love Ralph Lauren. I also collect the houndstooth pattern. These RL bags have lasted for ages and have withstood rain, dust, snow, and heat. :flowers:

i love them tooooooo bits. ;)

I saw one last year at Macy's I liked, but then I looked at the price, can't remember exactly how much it was, but it was high. I remember thinking I could have an LV, Gucci or Chanel for that!

see, i would consider hermes but i would think of it as another bag purchase, since hermes is already gonna be mione, might as well because its spretty right?

people covet hermes thinking that they can never get one :p

if the ricky bag is made of real crocodile and will last ages, it will be worth 13k its much less than hermes' 40k, even though my mom will probably get it.. i want the ricky :D
