Quota Bag Thread

There is neither written H rules nor a global rule for these..it differs vastly from one store to another let alone continent to continent.

Bottom line, it all depends on what your SA/SM wants to offer to you :smile1:

Thank you all so much for all your inputs.

There seems to be a difference in each store but I summed the info up as follows.

For walk-in, the official quota is one per year.
That is probably why FSH is saying one per year as the majority of the clientele there is tourists?

For regular, loyal, known customers, the official quota is one per season and this means one between January and June and one between July and December. That's what I was told, too.

For VIPs and big big spenders, there is an exceptin obviously and they can get as many as they want. But i am not interested in that. Those super wealthy people can afford anything and most likely they can buy from resellers, use any concierge service, be it through their centurion service or quintessentially service anyway.

I think big branches like Madisson or Bond Street have tougher regulations to follow compared to small branches or franchise one which can particularly just do whatever they want I guess.

I think that's a very fair summary of things.

What a quick reply! Thank you.

I know what you mean. Of course Things work differently in a different area but I'm just trying to find out the official rule in this thread.

Actually, I was told about this new one B or one K policy in April this year not before... Maybe it was introduced around that sort of time??

In any case, things change so quickly in H so this policy might change again soon!! :p

Yes, but I bought a bag in January and after two weeks I was offered another birkin which would make it two bags in one month had I said yes. What I wanted to convey is that there seem to be different rules/guidelines in different parts of the world. We already know that of course.

I have never asked so I am not sure what the rule on quota is where I am. Yes, things change quickly:p

Sorry for being a bit off topic but I am interested in the bold bit. I keep hearing about this. My boyfriend and I use his centurion for popular restaurant bookings, getting tickets to popular events (such as football finals or boxing matches) etc but we never tried to ask them to buy a bag for me. Do they really offer that?

I'm afraid I have never used the service either so it's only something I heard but I know that they can get you a bag, but the rumour is they get it through other concierge service like quintessentially.

I'm sure someone else can chime in.

By the way, does your SA know that if you are a member of the purse forum? I always wonder if people normally tell their SAs?

I spoke to my SA about something similar. In this instance, a casino host. My SA told me that they do pull a lot of strings for the casino hosts for big gamblers (only because they are located inside the casino). So I assume that it may be possible for Amex black card members? Would really love to hear if this is possible. Tbh, I tried with Amex plat concierge, and it doesn't work :P.

I will PM you.

Interesting. My BF have been the centurion member for years and they have worked magic on some of his/our requests but we never asked them to get me a Birkin! LOL! He said it would be ridiculous but maybe it's not so ridiculous after all.

I have the Amex black card, and I don't feel it makes any difference, honestly the more money I spent the more bags I was offered, and it didn't matter what credit card I put it on.

It doesn't make any different whether you use your black Amex to pay for your H items in store or not. We were talking about using their concierge service to acquire a bag outside the store.

I think what is discussed here is not which credit card is used to buy stuff at H but the concierge service they offer.

I only know that they get bags through other concierge service or resellers so you have to pay a premium so it turns out to be more expensive than buying bags directly from H so for customers who have regular SAs or who have a good relationship with the store don't get much benefit from it unless they want a certain bag at a certain specific time.

Sorry posted at the same time as xiangxiang!!

Just speaking from my own experience, I think it really depends on your SA/SM what and how many to offer you. I don't think there is a quota at least at my local store. I got offered 2 K's 3 B's in 3 month time frame- 2 regular K's, and for B, a SO, a croc and a ghillies. And she help me locate a bunch of stuff that I wanted.
