question about new bag

I see it...yeah take it back & exchange for the same bag & request that you look it over before you leave the store...it should be no hassle unless of course it's an as*hol* SA.
If no one knows what she's talking about I'll circle the problem area.

If it bothers you, take it back to the stores and see if you can find a better looking bag and let the store associate know. Since it's not old and you recently purchased it, I'm sure they'll help you out exchanging it to another bag.

I don't think it's such a big deal.

I would have never noticed unless you said EXACTLY where you were talking about.

Take it back if it really bothers you that much.

i know it's not really a big deal...but i'm anally retentive and this is the first bag i've purchased myself (most of my others were gifts from my ex...)
and i'm afraid that if i sell this bag later (on ebay or whatever), someone would notice it and think it was fake. but, maybe not, if you all didn't notice it.
thanks so much you guys :)

well, i took the bag back today. the sa at the store was EXTREMELY rude (she had obviously had a bad day) and said that, unless there was a problem with stiching or such, she wouldn't refund or exchange it. so i asked, very politely, to talk to the manager. she said she was sorry about the bag problem (and that she was the same way about her bags, so she understood) and that she would gladly give me my money back if i chose to buy the bag elsewhere. so that's what i did.
and i found an absolutely PERFECT bag at macy's that eases my obsessive compulsivity. and i couldn't be happier.
then, at macys, i found a pair of black coach sneakers on the clearance rack for $38! heck yeah!
life is good. :)

I would write to Coach's corporate office and tell them of your experience with the very bad, rude SA and that they lost your business to Macys. If people don't complain that SA will continue to abuse people when she doesn't deserve to be working there.

Maybe they would send you a coupon or something to make up for the bad customer service? I don't have any experience with the corporate office of Coach but I would think they would want their customers to be treated politely and fairly and that way customers would want to return for future purchases. I would never go back to a store where I was treated rudely. Peggy

Maybe it's just me... but it kinda looks (even in the stock photo) as if it's supposed to be just a TINY BIT off? Cause the bag itself is not just a simple square shape?

i thought about saying something about the sa...but i don't want them to seem like i'm fishing for a coupon or something, you know? i've worked enough stores/restaurants to know that people do that. a LOT.
and luna, you're right, they're mostly a little off (of course, nothing will ever be perfect)...but none of the other bags were even remotely as off as mine was. but, hey, who cares? i found one that satisfies me.
:)

 kallison423..I read this whole thread from start to finish and I would have felt exactly the same way..I am an anal handbag lover and I saw what you were talking about...It ticks me off the SA gave you a hard time!!! BUT..I am so glad everything worked out..Even better the second time around!!! Good for you! I do check the bags out before purchasing...for the same reasons you posted...Live and learn I guess...Congrats and enjoy your new bag (& shoes!!) I was looking at this too...you lucky dog!!! Emmy

Glad you found a perfect bag. It would have bothered me too and that SA's behavior was totally uncalled for. I would write a letter to corporate. :flowers: If you were just exchanging it, it should have been no big deal. (I used to work at Coach and we did this all the time as long as people had their receipts.) :flowers:
